I have no idea why most men nowadays become pastors, because the evidence by their actions certainly is not they were moved by the Holy Spirit of God Almighty to shepherd a flock of souls while here for their duration in the flesh. The evidence is not their love of God and Jesus and desire to spread the truth of the gospel, preach the whole truth of God’s Word more concerned with the eternal welfare of souls than pleasing this temporal world and its ways.

Long ago I read, as can anyone if interested and inclined, the vast majority coming out of Bible colleges, seminaries, theology schools — over 60% — do not believe in the virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. That same figure does not believe in the literal resurrection of our Lord on the Third Day after being illegally tried while being the fulfillment of all Biblical prophecy on the subject, nailed to a tree and murdered. I doubt this number has changed in the right direction. It appears those governing Bible colleges, seminaries and theology schools, along with those attending them are more concerned in these times with debating and tearing down and apart the Word of God then learning it, believing it, preparing to teach it truthfully and carry it out to an unbelieving world. They do not believe in much of the Holy Bible if we’re going to be honest and objective. It is crystal clear in these last of the last days, the age of the reprobate mind, Romans 1 coming to fruition and the rise of ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing taking over the pulpits, the ministers of the angel of light, the Evil One, those replacing true, genuine humble men who were moved within their hearts and minds by the Spirit of God to serve the Lord in ministry of His Word, to shepherd a flock and preach the true gospel while here on earth.

Now? Now churches professing to be Christian have become business models. Profit generators. Merchandizers. Committees look for a pastor and who knows the criteria they discuss, other than can we find someone to put backsides in the pews — who’s kidding most churches don’t even have pews any longer they opt now for theater seats and making sure everyone is comfy and in entertainment mode — so it’s all about numbers. Numbers of rear ends in the seats, or jumping around to the frenzied and loud rock music being passed off as gospel, Christian praise of Almighty God and Jesus Christ the Saviour, and the numbers of greenbacks, or checks in the collection plates.

Period.

Because it certainly is not about preaching the true Word of God. Preaching, exhorting, reproving, admonishing and placing the Word of God — the truth of the whole of Holy Scripture above appeasing men and women. Today more concerned with offending those in front of them than offending the God and Saviour they proclaim to love, obey and serve.

No true Christian church member or attendee is above or beyond being admonished, reproved, disciplined in the true Word of God if need be. Yet what is uppermost is making everyone feel good. Misinterpreting what passing judgment means not having spiritual discernment, spiritual wisdom within them they fail to know and understand. More concerned with pleasing and obeying men and women and this world, the ways and teachings of this world than in pleasing, serving, submitting and obeying God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the inerrant whole Holy Scriptures. If these men genuinely were indwelt of the Holy Spirit and had become pastors not of their choosing but rather being chosen by God and thus moved to enter into ministry, and if they placed their trust in the Holy Spirit — which is evident they do not in what passes for their “preaching” then none of this would be happening. I would not be sitting here writing this. You would not be reading this — but this is our reality, sadly, in this last of the last times. The age of the Great Falling Away. The rise of false teachers, antichrists and the erosion from within of what is called the Christian church being perverted and corrupted by the minsters of Satan entering and being allowed to enter and take over.

Woe to U.S.

Woe to any and all who refuse the truth, take offense at the truth of God and Christ, who think they know better than God, Christ or the Holy Bible and would rather teach or listen to the false teachings and unsound doctrines of this world leading to death rather than endure the truth and the teachings of God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and the inerrant whole living Word of God which leads to eternal life.

We all serve somebody. And it’s either in submission and obedience to the true God, His true Son, Jesus Christ the Lord, the true Holy Spirit, and the true whole Word or we serve this world and he who has dominion over it for a season and his ministers — preferring the pleasures and teachings of death over those of life.

Your choice. Be a part of the Great Falling Away following the false teachers, the ravenous wolves tickling the itching ears with fables, lies and their unsound doctrines, or submitting, serving, bowing to, obeying and only following the true genuine Biblical teachings if you can find them within a 100 mile radius of where you live in this land once created through Divine Providence now preferring to serve the angel of light, the devil and his ways over those of God our Father. Those are the only two choices available. You pick. You decide. With your free will. It’s only your eternity after all dependent on which choice you make.

Woe to all calling themselves “Christian pastors,” shepherds of flocks of souls claiming to be “Christian” who do not adhere to, abide by, abide in the truth of the Bible and reject God, reject Jesus, reject the Holy Spirit and reject the Holy Scriptures imagining they can somehow rewrite it all and still be accepted by the Creator, God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

We cannot add to or subtract from the Word of God. Not if we want to wear the mantel genuine disciple of Jesus Christ’s, genuine believer in God and desiring to live to please Him, our Creator, God our Father.

Everyone thinks they can be Marie Antionette these days. Having their cake while eating it too, Having the promise of salvation while corrupting the Holy Bible and lowering God  to our level whilst treating the Holy Scriptures as if they were some restaurant menu in which one sat and only ate what they liked, what they wanted and disregarded all the rest — disregarded the other 99%.

Better still? Open a Bible and learn what happens to those who imagine they are on the same level as God, those who thought they knew better, those who ignored, refused the truth, disobeyed. What happens to those who imagine they are serving Jesus and calling themselves “Christian,” His followers yet are anything but through their blatant disobedience and choosing the world over Him, or attempting to mingle and combine the ways of the world with His and think that is acceptable.

Where is the trust, where is the faith in the power of the Holy Spirit to work in these pastors and their faith and trust in the power and Spirit of God to work in the hearts and minds of men, women and children? Instead they vainly believing they have to appease and “not offend” in order to win over when in truth all they are doing is conducting just one more worldly event which does not lead to eternal life or spiritual wisdom or spiritual growth.

Where is the faith?

Where is the trust in the Holy Spirit?

Where is the belief in the Bible that the Holy Spirit will work in them, give them the words to speak, to write, use them as instruments to spread the good news and the Word of truth among the people?

Where is the reverence, awe, faith in God Almighty?

For these certainly are not getting what they have to give from God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Bible — but they are getting their all, what is in them from the teachings of the world.

The proof is in their preaching, or lack of it.

Survey Finds That Half Of America’s Pastors Are Afraid To Speak Out About Controversial Topics

Have you ever wondered why most church services in America seem to be filled with lots of fluff and very little substance?  As America’s moral foundations literally collapse right in front of our eyes, a large percentage of our pastors are afraid to speak out about controversial topics because they might offend someone.  And it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why they are so afraid.  Most U.S. churches are shrinking, and more than 100 die every week.  In a day and age where pastors are judged by attendance numbers and budget levels, scaring people away is bad for business.

With all that in mind, the results from a recent Barna survey shouldn’t be surprising at all…

We wanted to know if pastors felt limited or pressured when it comes to speaking about controversial topics. Half of Christian pastors says they frequently (11%) or occasionally (39%) feel limited in their ability to speak out on moral and social issues because people will take offense. The other half of pastors say they only rarely (30%) or never (20%) feel limited in this way. When asked to identify the source of the concerns, pastors are much more likely to say that they feel limited by those inside the church than those outside. In other words, the reactions of those in the pews are most on the minds of today’s pastors.

And remember, these numbers just show the percentage of pastors that are willing to admit that they are afraid to speak out about controversial issues.

In reality, the percentage of U.S. pastors that actually hit the hard issues on a consistent basis is exceedingly low.

Not offending people is obviously a strategy that can work, because many of America’s largest churches today are pathetically shallow.  In fact, one of America’s most famous pastors absolutely refuses to ever use the word “sin” because it might offend someone.

But eventually people get tired of superficial religion that doesn’t have any substance, and nobody can deny that there has been a mass exodus from the Christian faith in this country.  In fact, the number of Americans with “no religion” has risen by 266 percent over the last three decades.

In particular, young people crave authenticity, and they can spot a fake a mile away.  They are leaving America’s churches faster than anyone else, and that is incredibly sad.

Some churches are attempting to reverse this trend, and many of them seem to think that being “hip” and “trendy” is the key to winning young people back.  For example, the following comes from a profile on C3 Church in New York City by Topic Magazine…

Have you ever been to a church where the Jesus music is so loud that some congregants—young, hip urbanites all—wear earplugs? Where the Christian pop-rock stirs people into such rapture that they jump up and down, both feet leaving earth, both hands raised ecstatically skyward, as if in a mild-mannered mosh pit? Where half the pastors, band members, and congregants have nose piercings and the other half have forearm tattoos, and a teeny-tiny beanie is the accessory du jour?

There is certainly nothing wrong with having good music and a modern presentation, but it must also be accompanied by truth if it is going to do any good.

In the profile, the reporter for Topic Magazine asked “Pastor Josh” about his stand on one of the most controversial issues of our day, and he did his very best to dance around it…

But Pastor Josh knows that some of his congregants are homosexual—or, in his words, “would say they’re homosexual”—and he’s happy to tell them where he feels “the truth lands on the issue.” He just doesn’t want “the conversation” to end the moment someone reads on C3’s website that homosexual marriage is an affront to God. “To me, that’s a shame,” he says. “I’m trying to show, ‘Hey, I’m not judging anyone. I’m not condemning anyone.’ We’ve all got our views and attractions and all those kinds of things.” He knows that young people, especially, inhabit a complicated, alienating world.

“I think every one of us is searching for love,” Pastor Josh says. “Even though we might disagree on where the best place to look for love is.”

I have read that quote several times, and I still don’t understand what he is trying to say.

Whether people agree with it or not, Pastor Josh owes it to all of us to tell us directly what he really believes.

Of course there are thousands upon thousands of other ministers just like “Pastor Josh” in America today.

The church business has become all about making people feel good, and in this type of spiritual environment even Kanye West can start a church…

Imagine stumbling into a church you’ve never seen on Sunday morning. As you approach you hear rapper DMX praying, “I have special privileges. I am God’s favored child.” In front of you sit Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who were both raised Christian but now consider themselves “spiritual.”

The prayer ends, and a gospel choir in matching Yeezy merchandise belts out rapper Kid Cudi’s “Reborn.” Presiding over it all is Pastor Kanye West.

It isn’t a dream. Kanye reportedly started his own church on the first Sunday of the year, and since then, he’s attracted celebrities to his entertaining, religion-laced gatherings.

Of course not all is lost.  There are some pastors out there that are doing a fantastic job, and all over the world God is raising up a Remnant.  But overall, the institutional church in America is failing to influence the culture because pastors are deathly afraid of scaring their customers away.

All that it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

And right now a whole lot of good men are doing precisely that.
