Sign of the times…

Of the Great Falling Away, especially in America…

Of Satan entering the churches and the father of lies being heard and believed in hearts and minds more than the voice of God, the words of Jesus, and what is contained in the Word of God…

The escalating corruption, perversion, and attempted destruction of the Word of God by Satan and his ministers…

PLEASE NOTE ONCE AGAIN: Political articles, current event articles appear on A Crooked Path not to advocate or place a certain political ideology above another. As I have written in the past all current event articles and pieces included here pertaining to political actions, ideologies and such are here to only reveal piece by piece in the picture unfolding of the massive, intensifying, and escalating erosion within worldwide cultures. And especially within Western cultures.

To show the signs of the times. The removing of the foundations. Making the laws lawlessness. The demise of freedoms, rights, liberties for the many, and the removal of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible from Western cultures, or at least the attempt to remove. Which will be unsuccessful — so corruption, perversion, lies, and Satan and his ministers uniting and appearing as angels of light keeping the overwhelming majority in darkness. Enslaved to the father of lies. As they are misled to believe there are human, political solutions to all the world’s problems. Refusing to acknowledge it is man’s sin, man’s inherently evil nature, man’s rebellion against God, and denial of the Lord Jesus Christ that is at the very core of every problem on this earth.

The world cannot see this. Sadly more and more of those professing to be Christian cannot see it as well and they place their faith greater in man, in men and women, in the world than in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the inerrant infallible living and active Word of God.

Every current event, every piece of a political nature placed within this place is done so to reveal the times. These last of the last times we all live in. To hopefully assist in providing the pieces of the picture so those who doubt? Who who are lost? Who refuse to believe? Who place their faith in men more than God? That they might see how short the time that remains is although no one knows the time or the hour of the Lord’s return, not even Jesus knows as the Word of God tells us only the Father knows that hour.

But anyone with eyes to see, ears to hear, a nose to smell the stench of evil rising up, rebellion in the land, the people being given over to reprobate, unrighteous minds must certainly see and know the days grow shorter for this earth to be remembered and known as it has from the beginning.

And rather than remaining idle? In neutral? In delusion and illusion and denial?

Act upon what is transpiring. Act in a manner which the Word of God instructs us to act, not to act in the ways the world and man desire to have us act.

While in American worldly definitions I would be classified as a very “conservative” man that is not who I truly am. I am first and foremost a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, a child of God.

As all who profess to be “Christian” ought to be rather than placing nation, man, woman, political ideologies, things of this world in the importance which they do. Even though many protest and deny they do such, they do such daily, continually and we see it by their example more than their words.

Please take what is presented here on a daily basis as mere signs of the times revealing how lost and sinful our nation, our world is. And how close we all are to the end of everything as it has been known from the beginning we all truly are.

The erosion, the corruption, the perversions, the lies, the sin, the increasing of false teachers, the removing of the foundations, the making the laws lawlessness, the taking over of institutions by evil more than by godliness all point to this — the Great Falling Away we see and ought to acknowledge all reveal to those watching the how and why of it all, and the what it is swiftly leading to.

As such each true disciple must keep on, maintaining the full armour of God, never resting, never removing that full armour, never growing lax or lukewarm, and remain continually engaged in this spiritual war. And those who doubt? Refuse to believe? Are on the side of man? Placing a political party above God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible? Placing nationalism above God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible? Placing faith in any manmade government or institution above God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or the Word of God?

Well, I pray, we all need to pray they come out of the darkness and into the light while they are given the opportunity by a gracious and patient God Almighty.

Spoiler Alert: There Will Be No Change of Power on March 4

February 22, 2021

In case you haven’t heard, some QAnon conspiracy theorists believe that Trump will be inaugurated on March 4. In fact, there is so much internet buzz about this that National Guard troops in DC have been put on standby as a precaution. After what happened on January 6, the obvious strategy is better to be safe than sorry.

But is there a reason for concern?

Last Friday, I tweeted, “I was asked by a reporter today if I knew of any major Christian leaders who are peddling the QAnon conspiracies. Honestly, the only ones I could think of are fringe. However, the TALKING POINTS of Q seem to have filtered down into many within the Body. Do you agree?”

Some of the affirmative responses included: “Yes, I agree. The talking points of Q have filtered down into many within the body, and it’s sad.”

And, “Ex-Trump supporter, I tried warning about it on FB including your page. You have loads of those following you. They quote bible scriptures with their conspiracies. But that is how Satan works mix truth with lies. I woke up. I was met w/ fierce pushback when speaking truth.”

And, “I’m an elder at a small church in the Midwest, and QAnon ideas are embraced by close to 1/4 the congregation.”

And, “Yes. I have it in my church and my church is healthy and somewhat educated… very strange.”

And, “Actually, Michael, I have found a lot of family and friends getting involved in these kinds of ideas largely because they don’t trust the media at all-left or right, not even Fox News. That leaves the door open for the Qanon types to be their source of news.”

Regarding March 4, one woman tweeted this in response to my question: “We found out on Sunday that a member of our church believes that Trump will take over on March 4th through violent means. It was surprising and distressing. He is not a violent man.”

Perhaps these beliefs are more pervasive than we know, especially among the more fringe, hyper-nationalist types.

And when we consider that a new survey indicates that 3 in 5 white evangelicals do not believe that Biden was legitimately elected, it’s not hard to see how, among the more disaffiliated and disgruntled, more extreme theories are being embraced. In their fervent attempt to reject the “fake news” of the left, they embrace alternative falsehoods on the right. Put another way, these extremists run to the new fake while running from the old fake.

As explained by Elizabeth Neumann, described by Politico as a devout Christian, “QAnon is driving some Christians to extremism and violence.”

Interestingly, “She sees QAnon’s popularity among certain segments of Christendom not as an aberration, but as the troubling-but-natural outgrowth of a strain of American Christianity. In this tradition, one’s belief is based less on scripture than on conservative culture, some political disagreements are seen as having nigh-apocalyptic stakes and ‘a strong authoritarian streak’ runs through the faith. For this type of believer, love of God and love of country are sometimes seen as one and the same.”

And it is among groups like this that QAnon conspiracies, including the March 4 transfer of power to Trump, find fertile ground. (For the convoluted reasoning behind the March 4 beliefs, see here; for an eye-opening overview of Q, see here.)

Of course, many on the left are quick to brand all Christian conservatives (and/or Trump supporters) as QAnon-supporting white supremacists. As Mike posted in response to my tweet, “The ‘talking points’ of Q are a constellation of internet theories (mostly anonymous) that predated Q. Not all of them are equally viable, some more, some less. By collapsing ALL conspiracy theories into lunacy the narrative is now: Xians = Qanon = gullible twits.”

Or, as Kevin noted, “Yes, Q anon has filtered down into several churches. I did an investigation on Q/several interviews exposing it. Qanon has deluded a large number of believers. Some reporters are trying to paint all Christians as Qanons, e.g., ‘The Daily Beast.’”

They are absolutely right, just as, for the last four years, the leftwing media has sought to portray all Trump supporters as racists. Today, some of these same reporters and journalists, and commentators continue to paint with a broad, dangerously inaccurate brush. (I say dangerous because reckless rhetoric and false caricaturing can further inflame emotions and provoke hostilities.)

All that being said, and fully recognizing how QAnon talking points have infiltrated segments of the church, let me save everyone the drama.

Trump will not be inaugurated on March 4. Instead, on that day, yet another Q theory will bite the dust.

My question for those who are expecting otherwise is this: at what point will you realize you have been deceived?

Some would say to me, “Just last week you wrote an article urging us to take our focus off Trump. Now you’re putting our focus right back on him.”

To the contrary, I’m seeking to put out the latest, Trump-focused fire and saying, “Enough! January 20 is passed. March 4 will soon be past. It is absolutely time to move on.”
