Yes, Mr. Victor Davis Hanson is correct in his commentary below. We live in revolutionary times. Mr. Hanson is a brilliant man in worldy knowledge, a great historian, but like so many — the overwhelming majority in these revolutionary times he misses the mark.
Most folks paying even modest attention to everything transpiring base their beliefs, views, and personal ideology on the war of political ideologies and their various agendas. Broken down to left vs. right, liberalism/Marxism/communism/socialism/every ism not conservativism vs. conservativism. That is the tree they are grafted to. The tree of the world. Not a branch on the tree of God even though so many proclaim they one of His people.
These brilliant people, such as Mr. Hanson and so many others not so brilliant but on air, being published, garnering the eyes and ears of the people of the world — all those seen and heard almost universally on every television international, national, or local news broadcast, all the pundits, pollsters, so-called experts, all the highly educated and able speakers all miss the mark in laying out everything taking place at the feet of human politics rather than our sin and turning from God, or to God, and the intensifying spiritual war ensuing louder, stronger, deeper, more brazenly around and in almost everyone in these revolutionary, last of the very last days.
I watch. I listen to many of these folks. It’s all political. Every ill could be remedied by this or that human effort, political action, blind self-driven devoid of God action.
God laughs in heaven at the delusions and foolishness of men and women such as these. Don’t believe this? Have you ever read, absorbed, believed Psalm 2?
America is either dying and the plug has been pulled on the respirator, or America is already dead and we the people, for the greater part, just have not caught up to that truth.
When omitting God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the whole of the Holy Bible from ANY and ALL discussion, commentary, news, seminar, symposium, or gathering what ensues then is blabber. Just a lot of empty, hollow blabbering, yammering, expelling of hot air appearing to be something substantive. Ahh, the self-delusion, the universal delusion!
It’s all “Look at us!” or “Let us look over there for the answer, to that person, that belief!” instead of, “Let us look to the Lord, believe in Him, trust Him diligently, let Him rule our lives believing everything in His Word!”
Ahh, the ways and words, wisdom and knowledge in and of the world…
It’s distraction. Sleight-of-hand verbiage and words designed to keep folks paying any attention occupied and distracted from the root cause, from the truth, from pausing and going to the place where everything taking place is clearly explained.
God. His inerrant infallible living and active Word. That cuts through all the dung, rubbish, noise, and delusion like a two-edged sword. Words are so, so important. There’s a reason a “two-edged sword” is used. Do some homework about swords and also within the Word of God.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
This is why men and women having the eyes and ears of the people do not lean on God, turn to God, and include God’s Word in their work, even among many of those professing to be Christians. Imagine that. Their paychecks and keeping their employers happy, their ratings up, their audiences watching and listening, and keeping the advertisers happy matter more than being pleasing to the Lord.
$Cha-ching$! Rings out — the sound of money coming in. A far greater sound to them than the whole pure Word of God in their ears and coming from their tongues, or songs of true worship, awe, wonder, reverence, and praise. They are blinded. Lovers of the world and making their home here. Make believers. Pretenders. Those who have crept in and are installed to keep those wanting their ears tickled with lies rather than the truth. Refusing to face reality. These are aides and ministers of Satan. Do not be deceived or caught up in their rhetoric and words of fear, distraction, and out-and-out delusion to keep individuals from going to the Holy Bible, from going to God.
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
Matthew 24:12
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Noah’s Favor with God
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
Noah Builds the Ark
And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
Genesis 6:-22
“For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”
Matthew 24:37-39
Yes, we live in revolutionary times. Biblical times. Romans 1.
Think an election will matter? Only if among the elect of God and Christ! Think a politician is the answer? Can make things right again?
Think again.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Know why all the terrible things, the decay, the rot, the sexual depravity, the drug use, the disintegration of the family, crime, violence, the premeditated murder of human babies have increased and why things have become as they are?
Because God’s people were idle. Otherwise occupied. Living according to the world. Rather than in Him, with Him, in the Word.
We the chosen of God by our absence in Him and our willfulness rather than leaning on, and trusting in God have created the nation we now inhabit.
Going to church on Sundays doesn’t matter much if the other six days evidence is lacking of the working of the Word within individuals, or if that church you go to is dead. Lukewarm. Pretending, playing at being a Christ following body.
Do not blame the Democrats. Nor the politically liberal. Nor the Marxists. Nor any that you may be placing blame at their feet.
Those who claim to be God’s but have refused to turn to Him and live as His chosen people are responsible — for if we were living out our faith truly? Living as lights unto the world? Faithfully?
Things would not be as they now are.
We have example upon example upon example of this in the Word of God. Why do we not believe and live accordingly? Is God’s Word just a nice storybook to us? Or His actual Word on how we are to live out our lives daily?
Silence in the spiritual war is not golden or the course to take.
Unless desiring to have the screaming scheming Enemy advance greatly and overtake.
The thing is, which warrior, or army are you enlisted in and ENGAGED in this revolution?
Are you a revolutionary firmly, truly, boldly, radically unafraid and out of the foxhole, off the couch, walking away from the lost, of the world, a mediocre lukewarm church with its unsound doctrine and ENGAGED in battle with, by, and from the Holy Spirit with the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ as your all, everything you need in this escalating spiritual war?
Or are you a revolutionary in Satan’s vast and well-equipped legion of enslaved in darkness while imagining themselves so enlightened and right?
Each person can belong to only one of the above.
And if thinking you don’t, aren’t, won’t belong to either?
You’re already in the camp of Satan. One of his idle reserves, but truly belonging to him.
For Christ did not come to be idle, complacent, complicit, inactive in this world did He? And if one of His becoming more like Him while here on earth why, then, be attired and appearing like one in the Enemy’s camp?
Hummm…
Our Revolutionary Times…
Whether you like it or agree with that truth, you are in the revolution.
On one side or the other. And there are only two sides in this largest most important war to ever occur on earth among EVERY man, woman, and child.
So what will you now do?
Read on, even though the following is devoid of God, of Jesus, of the Holy Spirit, of the Word of God — which is another sign of the times, another piece of the puzzle completing the picture for those who can’t see but need to, and for those who can bringing it all clearer, adding to our hope and assurance in the Lord and His whole Word to us.

Our Revolutionary Times
Shaking up the U.S. for decades to come.

Sometimes unexpected but dramatic events tear off the thin veneer of respectability and convention. What follows is the exposure and repudiation of long-existing but previously covered-up pathologies.
Events like the destruction of the southern border over the last three years, the October 7 massacre and ensuing Gaza war, the campus protests, the COVID-19 epidemic and lockdown, and the systematic efforts to weaponize our bureaucracies and courts have all led to radical reappraisals of American culture and civilization.
Since the 1960s, universities have always been hotbeds of left-wing protests, sometimes violently so.
But the post-October 7 campus eruptions marked a watershed difference.
Masked left-wing protestors were unashamedly and virulently anti-Semitic. Students on elite campuses especially showed contempt for both middle-class police officers tasked with preventing their violence and vandalism and the maintenance workers who had to clean up their garbage.
Mobs took over buildings, assaulted Jewish students, called for the destruction of Israel, and defaced American monuments and commentaries.
When pressed by journalists to explain their protests, most students knew nothing of the politics or geography of Palestine, for which they were protesting.
The public concluded that the more elite the campus, the more ignorant, arrogant, and hateful the students seemed.
The Biden administration destroyed the southern border. Ten million illegal aliens swarmed into the U.S. without audit. Almost daily, news accounts detail violent acts committed by illegal aliens or their surreal demands for more free lodging and support.
Simultaneously, thousands of Middle Eastern students, invited by universities on student visas, block traffic, occupy bridges, disrupt graduations, and generally show contempt for the laws of their American hosts.
The net result is that Americans are reappraising their entire attitude toward immigration. Expect the border to be closed soon and immigration to become mostly meritocratic, smaller, and legal, with zero tolerance for immigrants and resident visitors who break the laws of their hosts.
Americans are also reappraising their attitudes toward time-honored bureaucracies, the courts, and government agencies.
The public still cannot digest the truth that the once respected FBI partnered with social media to suppress news stories, to surveil parents at school board meetings, and to conduct performance art swat raids on the homes of supposed political opponents.
After the attempts of the Department of Justice to go easy on the miscreant Hunter Biden but to hound ex-president Donald Trump for supposedly removing files illegally in the same fashion as current President Biden, the public lost confidence not just in Attorney General Merrick Garland but in American jurisprudence itself.
The shenanigans of prosecutors like Fani Willis, Letitia James, and Alvin Bragg, along with overtly biased judges like Juan Merchant and Arthur Engoron, only reinforced the reality that the American legal system has descended into third-world-like tit-for-tat vendettas.
The same politicization has nearly discredited the Pentagon. Its investigations of “white” rage and white supremacy found no such organized cabals in the ranks. But these unicorn hunts likely helped cause a 45,000-recruitment shortfall among precisely the demographic that died at twice their numbers in the general population in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Add in the humiliating flight from Kabul, the abandonment of $50 billion in weapons to the Taliban terrorists, the recent embarrassment of the failed Gaza pier, and the litany of political invective from retired generals and admirals. The result is that the armed forces have an enormous task to restore public faith. They will have to return to meritocracy and emphasize battle efficacy, enforce the uniform code of military justice, and start either winning wars or avoiding those that cannot be won.
Finally, we are witnessing a radical inversion in our two political parties. The old populist Democratic Party that championed lunch-bucket workers has turned into a shrill union of the very rich and subsidized poor. Its support of open borders, illegal immigration, the war on fossil fuels, transgenderism, critical legal and race theories, and the woke agenda are causing the party to lose support.
The Republican Party is likewise rebranding itself from a once-stereotyped brand of aristocratic and corporate grandees to one anchored in the middle class.
Even more radically, the new populist Republicans are beginning to appeal to voters on shared class and cultural concerns rather than on racial and tribal interests.
The results of all these revolutions will shake up the U.S. for decades to come.
Soon we may see a Georgia Tech or Purdue degree as far better proof of an educated and civic-minded citizen than a Harvard or Stanford brand.
We will likely jettison the failed salad bowl approach to immigration and return to the melting pot as immigration becomes exclusively legal, meritocratic, and manageable.
To avoid further loss of public confidence, institutions like the FBI, the CIA, the Pentagon, and the DOJ will have to re-earn rather than just assume the public’s confidence.
And we may soon accept the reality that Democrats reflect the values of Silicon Valley plutocrats, university presidents, and blue-city mayors, while Republicans become the home of an ecumenical black, Hispanic, Asian, and white middle class.
