LA Mayor Karen Bass Breaks Silence On Growing Calls For Her To Resign ...

I wanted to change the heading to this article; Breaking A Bad Habit, because that is what we all need to do. Everyone. Especially anyone professing to be a faithful follower of Jesus. But it’s a bad habit everyone needs to be aware of and make every effort to break.

I’ve touched on this at times. But I’m going to make one more attempt to get at least some folks thinking and conscious of what is thought, said, written, or believed and begin to make the necessary adjustments.

I hesitate to publish articles like the one below and I’ll let you know why, and it is the reason for the desired heading of Breaking A Bad Habit.

Everything — yes, that’s a broad generalized statement and some folks don’t like that. Don’t mean to alienate anyone, but ALMOST everything that occurs these days and for quite a long time is categorized as political and put in that pigeonhole. There’s a number of pigeonholes to toss everything that happens into. The conservative slot, the progressive one, the far-right one, the liberal, the Republican, the Democrat, the Marxist, the this the that, and on and on it goes.

All missing the mark.

We’re like archers attempting to place an arrow in the heart of a target and even if we think we’ve hit the bullseye? We’ve missed the target completely. Yes, completely.

Everything and everyone all the time every day in all that we think, do, say, what — all of it — is either rooted in evil or rooted in righteousness [which means justice, see; Righteous].

As understood, if you open and read the link above, being righteous means; “A righteous person is not one who lives a religiously pious life, the common interpretation of this word, he is one who follows the correct path, the path (way) of God.”

So, for every person on earth, everything done is either rooted in evil — the ways of the world. Devoid of God’s ways, God’s Word, devoid of true faith and obedience to the Lord and His Word — or, what is done by someone is rooted in righteousness. God’s ways. God’s Word. A person following the correct pathway of God.

If folks could, would only come to see and understand everything in this manner rather than continually falling into the political trap — no different really than an animal, a mouse following a scent into a trap set and getting caught, stricken in the trap. The trap where everything is cataloged and reduced to being political of one leaning or another.

And stopping there.

Label applied. No need to go any further.

Like planning a road trip with a destination that is 1200 miles away and stopping, parking, unloading the luggage, and acting as if you’ve arrived after only traveling 600 miles.

No different.

It might appear to be political thus making it what appears easier to categorize, but it doesn’t really explain the root cause. The reason. The how. The why. Of the what.

What is the problem in going the distance and seeing and calling things what they truly are? Either good and of God and His ways and Word, or evil and of the world and Satan and his deceptions, his confusion, lies, and mayhem.

Yes, regarding everything. Every politician. Every event.

God is not absent. God is Sovereign and in control, while men and women exert their free wills to walk the pathway of God’s ways, or to walk the pathways of the world and Satan’s ways.

Why can’t we see this, acknowledge this, address this in all things?

Are we not instructed to do so?

To test every spirit — everything. To examine everything and to judge everything against the Holy Bible, to judge everything against the inerrant infallible unchanging eternal living and active Word of God.

Want real change? Real progress? Start calling everything what it truly is. And to do this we pray. We draw closer and closer and ever closer to the Lord. We spend much time in the Word of God. Praying the Word. Meditating — thinking deeply about what we read. Carrying the Word in us through our days and nights. Not fearing being light in the darkness and declaring that which is right according to God’s ways and what is wrong according to God’s ways.

Yes, judging well and wisely. Being discerning.

Don’t like how things have become? Well, we only have ourselves in God’s Church to blame for fearing calling things what they are and people what they are. See evil? Call it correctly. See righteousness? Call it correctly.

Hold those professing to be doing the right things in power accountable.

Because as we can easily, so clearly witness scarcely a righteous person exists in the so-called political arena.

Time to call the circus acts exactly what they are.

And when finding that righteous act, that person acting in a manner revealing they are following the Lord Jesus Christ, one who follows the correct path, the path (way) of God.”bless them, pray for them, uplift them, acknowledge them, support them.

For being a diligent and faithful warrior in the escalating battles in the war we’re all in.

Too many labels. Simplify which just makes getting things right so much easier.

Not according to me. According to God. Don’t believe this? Examine His Word.

We can break bad habits and replace them with good ones. If only we had the will, the discipline, and we even tried.

Los Angeles mayor’s ties to Castro’s communist Cuba EXPOSED: ‘A confirmed Marxist Leninist’

The Los Angeles wildfires that have already razed 40,000 acres of the city, killed at least 24 people, and destroyed entire communities are still mostly uncontained. With the winds picking back up and the city’s limited water supply, the end seems nowhere in sight.

While Glenn Beck is not one to politicize a tragedy, he values the truth too much to let slide the egregious failures on the part of California authorities — from the city’s DEI-obsessed fire chief to Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom’s refusal to sign a water bill.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) is no exception. If anything, her list of failures is the longest. Not only did Bass, warned about the coming windstorms, choose to continue with her trip to Africa to celebrate the inauguration of Ghana’s president, leaving the city to burn in her absence, but she also slashed the L.A. Fire Department’s budget by millions of dollars.

“She gave the firefighting money to homeless NGOs [non-government organizations] who are fighting for the rights of illegal immigrants,” says Glenn, adding that, of course, “they’re packaging that as she gave money to fight homelessness.”

But the truth is L.A. has already “poured billions of dollars into solving this problem,” and the result has always been “tent cities, open-air drug markets, streets lined with garbage and human waste, [and] chaos,” he adds.

L.A. residents, Californians, and even Hollywood elites are ripping Mayor Bass for these failures, but should they really be surprised? A peek into her dark, radical history suggests that nobody should be surprised in the least.

“[Bass’] history is tied to radicalism, Marxism, and a dangerous ideology that bled from the fringes into the mainstream,” says Glenn.

In the 1970s, Bass traveled to Cuba “many, many times.” She was “a devoted participant in what’s called the Venceremos Brigade … a Marxist training program directly tied to Fidel Castro’s regime,” he explains. “You join because you’re a confirmed Marxist Leninist.”

According to one Los Angeles police investigator, Venceremos Brigade members are “trained in guerilla warfare, sabotage, and bomb-making. … These are not idealists; they’re insurgents in training.”

Bass “wasn’t just a participant,” either, says Glenn. “She was a leader” who “praised Fidel Castro, the dictator of Cuba, who was imprisoning dissenters [and] left a legacy of poverty and fear.”

On November 7, 1983, a domestic terrorist group called the May 19th Communist Organization bombed the U.S. Capitol building. The group “had direct ties to Cuba and the [Venceremos] Brigade,” in which Bass was “a leader.”

“I’m not saying Karen Bass planted the bomb or anything, but let’s be clear — she was part of exactly the same radical network,” says Glenn. “She called Fidel Castro charismatic; she praised the dictator who was brutalizing his people; she aligned herself with a movement that believed in revolutionary violence, including the bombing of the Capitol.”

“The ideology that fueled that bombing is alive and well and sitting in the mayor’s office in Los Angeles” because Bass “hasn’t reformed,” Glenn adds, explaining that her radicalization wasn’t just a phase of her youth.

In 2016, she “called [Castro’s] death a great loss to the people of Cuba,” and even though she “was considered a front-runner for the vice presidency under Joe Biden,” her record was” too “toxic” and “troubling” for even the Democrats.

“When your Marxist roots are too bad, too heavy for the Democrats, the progressives in Washington today, that says something,” says Glenn.

Today, “Karen bass is just using new words — she’s fighting for justice, for equity; she’s fighting for the people, but what has her leadership actually brought? Homeless encampments … fires burning out of control, [a] fire department stretched to its limits, millions are funneled to political pet projects, and all the while, the city is spiraling deeper and deeper into chaos.”
