ACP — A Crooked Path

Do you believe?

Before, well, too late you’ve already done it, but I was going to add before you answer that in your mind? Examine your heart and take time to answer. Because the answer is vital to everything.

Every thing.

Can any of us truly begin to fathom the vastness, the infinite power, knowledge, and ability of God our Creator, God our Father (to true believers) our Mighty, Awesome, Magnificant God! We think we know so much, are so smart but we know nothing — NOTHING — compared to what God knows, is, does, can do!

Try for about 10 minutes to comprehend the vastness and depth of God. And you won’t make it that long. Because His depth, vastness, and wonder is beyond our ability. Anyone even attempting to contemplate it deeply, to imagine they can somehow understand the total, complete, all-encompassing power, might, understanding, abilities, love, depth, and magnificence of God the Father will fail. Miserably.

Do you believe that God knows the number of hairs upon every head? And He has known them upon every head that ever lived beginning with Adam. And you’re not fooling God ( or a lot of other folks either) as He knows you dye your hair in the vanity of vanities.

“But every hair of the hairs of your heads is numbered, therefore you shall not be afraid, because you are better than a multitude of sparrows.”

Luke 12:7 — Aramaic Bible in Plain English

“But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.”

Matthew 10:30 — English Standard Version

Do you believe God knows every thought of every person on earth at every moment of history? Every thought. Of every person. Without ever taking a break. Every thought. Of every person. Since Adam’s first thought to the one you have right now, as well as mine, and as well as the 7,820,958,650 I mean, 7,820,958,670 I mean 7,820,958,680 billion people on earth according to the world population real-time counter as of my sitting down to write this?

“And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought…”

1 Chronicles 28:9 — English Standard Version

The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Psalm 94:11 — King James Version

then hear in heaven your dwelling place and forgive and act and render to each whose heart you know, according to all his ways (for you, you only, know the hearts of all the children of mankind),

1 Kings 8:39 — English Standard Version

Do you believe God knows when every sparrow falls? When every bird, every fish, every animal, every invertebrate animal (most people call them bugs), when EVERY LIVING THING ON EARTH falls? Perishes? Dies?

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny, and not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father?”

Matthew 10:29 — Aramaic Bible in Plain English

“I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows. And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, but the one who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God.”

Luke 12:4-9 — English Standard Version

Do you believe?

Do you really?

Or do you pick and choose what to believe? You like certain parts, certain stories, certain words and ideas but not this, that, or many others. Most other parts. And they go unread and unbelieved.

I believe every single word. Every single word.

Every word God-breathed and the Spirit of God working in the men who wrote the Holy Bible over a span of about 1,600 years there for a reason. Every single word true. No frills. No fluff. No filler. No fabrications, no real “stories” as told by men, women, and children — but the ongoing history of human nature, of the history of this world. Every single word true.

Such as God can number the hairs on every head, and even knows each day the new number for all those either losing or growing hair.

He knows every thought of every person without end. Never ceasing. Every thought of every person.

And He knows whenever any living thing no longer is living on the earth He created in six days. Resting on the seventh. Making it holy. A Sabbath to be observed.

What shall we do, what shall happen to us for our unbelief? For our determining what in the Word of God we choose to believe and that which we choose to discount or actually give no mind, no heed and throw away since we deny it, don’t know it, refuse to believe it?

Do we truly believe?

If not, why not?

If so, then let us live it. Be it. Being doers of the Word and not merely hearers, or cherry pickers, individual selectors of what is ripe and worthy of our time and belief and what is not.

It is all there for a reason.

It is all there in truth.

It is all there to be known and believed.

It is all there to reveal the way to eternal life and to grow in salvation, grow in faith, grow closer to God, and further from the lies, death, despair, and confusion of this world.

Do you believe?

Do you really believe?

All of it? Or just some?

Don’t answer me, for God already knows the answer in your heart, in your mind, as well as mine. And he knows how many birds have just fallen dead on this earth, and how many hairs have fallen from your head…and mine.

Do you believe?

All of it, every, every, every word!

Ah, the wonder! Ah, the magnificence!

Let us try to begin to take it in and walk in the Light, the Way, the Truth, and the Life and remove ourselves from this darkness and unbelief, these fears and ignorance that inhabits us so!

Let us praise God, honor God, praise, and honor the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us believe and begin to live, walk, and be accordingly…

The sparrows you may see outside your window know. God created all of creation with an AWARENESS of Him and His power and glory. The little sparrow knows. Each one does. As He knows their every feather and when they fall.

Do you?
