In the Book of Ecclesiastes (and found elsewhere…)

I feel safe in writing that the vast majority of the people in the world, the unbelieving in the inerrant Scriptures, non-believing in Jesus Christ as the risen Son of God and the requirement of the shed blood of the Sacrificial Lamb for the forgiveness of sins do not believe the following Scripture verse;

For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 — King James Version Holy Bible

And many who do not believe they have ever sinned, are not sinners arrogantly, foolishly mock and scoff and laugh at God’s word and say such foolish things as, “Well, all my friends and the people I like are in hell so that’s where I want to be as well!” Or words to that effect. If you’ve lived at least 50 years on earth you’ve heard words similar to that spoken more than a few times I’m quite sure.

What arrogance, ignorance and foolishness is exhibited in those enslaved to sin and their master, Satan.

The errant belief people are good and not sinners is also a condition present and growing in the professed church. Many of those proclaiming to be Christian do not believe the above Scripture either as they have allowed the unsound doctrines of man into the truth of God’s word in the quest of appeasement, inclusiveness and attempting to increase numbers without maintaining integrity or quality. Many may refute this statement, but I have sat here with this website now for almost eight years and I cannot count the number of emails or comments I’ve received in which the writers coming to me state “I do not sin,” or “I am not a sinner,” or “I’m a good person,” or “People are good not evil as you say they are!”

It is never what I say dear friends, brothers and sisters in the faith, or those unbelieving perhaps reading this. It is only what God says that matters. What counts.

I am nothing. I am dust with some breath and blood and animated life breathed into him by the will of God for a brief season. All that matters in all things always is what God says. What His entire, complete more relevant than any other book, the only book of truth which has ever been written on earth states.

That’s all the matters.

And this is what God has to say about all of this..

For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 — King James Version Holy Bible

Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 — New International Version

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:23 — King James Version Holy Bible

The only path to eternal life is in the awareness and then the taking action of our individual sin and our repenting thereof — repenting meaning we leave this sin and do not fall back upon it, take it up again and continue sinning — and we come to the knowledge and understanding there is only one way, one path, one avenue to eternal life and that is through the shed blood and undying faith in Jesus Christ the Lord as God come to earth to sacrifice Himself for the sins of all, all sins of everyone and they can have eternal life when they come to believe, understand, obey, repent, and live a life making Jesus Lord of their life serving Him and not serving this world or this worlds doctrines and ways. This is true of the unbeliever and also true of one who is in a denomination not obeying the word of God, or one who imagines themselves a saved Christian but is not obeying and following the instruction of Scripture.

Not what I write, say, or think — what the Word of God tells every single person, every sinner on earth.

And there are no “good people” who are “righteous” in the sight of God, blameless, without sin.

No one.

We can become saved, become glorified in Christ, become good in the sight of God but that only comes through spiritual enlightenment in the word of God and in obeying the word of God and taking Jesus Christ to be Lord of ones life. To become a disciple of Christ’s serving God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and living to obey and put into daily practice the inerrant word of God in our lives.

There are no inherently good people on earth. No one. Anywhere.

Not me. I sinned greatly and horribly. And I still fall short (sin), fail every single day and need to realize every hour of every single day I am in need of Jesus Christ and continual instruction in His Word and His ways.

I am not without sin.

Neither are you.

Or that pastor, person you may idolize and place on such a high pedestal imagining them to be oh so saintly and pure.

Heard on a broadcast news channel just last night a treasurer of a professed Christian church stole over $10,000 over a period of time from the churches weekly collections. She did not feel she sinned or did anything wrong. Imagine that. That is the state of, the condition of apostasy, lying to ourselves, deception and depravity and falling away from God and the truth we have come — and it only becomes wider and worse by the day.

She thought it more important to steal from a professed house of God, the weekly collections which are given to provide for the church and to do the Lord’s work. She didn’t care about that. Or what God’s word says. She stole from God and instead those contributions going to serve the Lord’s house and work she took her family to Disney World and bought season tickets to Sunday NFL football games where the multi-millionaires playing that game; a good number of whom would be in federal prisons were it not for football disrespect God and country every single week. And are idolized and treated as gods in doing so.

No one is good, righteous, or without sin. No one.

And that old dragon the devil, Satan continually with such seduction and gushing beguiling whispers in the ears… “You are not a sinner, do not believe that for a instant, you are GOOD, you are different…you are GOOD and without sin, you’ve never done anything horrible like murder someone have you? Robbed a bank have you? Tossed a living baby in a dumpster have you? YOU’RE GOOD! God is jealous and only trying to make you feel guilt you should not feel…YOU ARE NOT A SINNER, YOU ARE GOOD!”

Satan has that loop or something similar playing in the ears of billions around the clock every single day of the year. And the arrogant, self-absorbed foolish people fall for his lies and misleading just as Adam and Eve did in the Garden and tens of billions — everyone at some point — has ever since.

Come to that awareness and begin to deal with it and then this temporal life can go from ending in eternal death and damnation to perhaps eternal life and glory in heaven with Almighty God, Jesus the Lord, the elders, prophets, saints, angels and heavenly hosts.

God’s Wrath against Sin

(see also Jeremiah 6:10-21; Jeremiah 25:15-33; Jonah 1:4-10; Acts 27:13-26)

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
