Many words, especially in English, have more than one meaning. Then add to this inflection in a voice or a certain writing style depending on a personality and it can become quite difficult to know the meanings — or so it would seem. Some people are extraordinary liars, deceivers, and cunning.

Every word, whether spoken or written, by any person anywhere, at any time, can be discerned. Even when they are lying. God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit know immediately every word and thought and the intent as those words are spoken, the thoughts enter the mind, or they are written. This is a bit more difficult for us in the flesh, but we can greatly increase our understanding, our discernment if we desire to understand and discern more and more accurately. What is required is awareness, the ability to truly listen and see, and a complete unabashed unhesitant faith in the inerrant word of God — for the weakness and strength, the meanings and understandings I am writing of concern those matters most important in this temporal life — spiritual doings. Spiritual matters. Doctrinal matters. Holy matters as given to us all by God our Father.

No one on earth has an excuse citing they did not know, do not know.

I sit writing this out of the increasing by the day apostasy. The great falling away told us in Scripture would occur before the son of perdition and the last of the last days of this earth presented themselves.

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

Strength and weakness are viewed and defined totally different between this world and the spiritual life as given to us by Almighty God and Jesus Christ the Lord.

If I were to say or write, “I’m sorry,” or “I apologize” those words can have very different meanings from what is in my mind and heart depending on who I am addressing, what I am addressing and why. Context. Inflection. Even facial expression and eye movement are all telltale signs, but it is the words and what they are applied to that matter most. Those same words can either denote weakness — or strength.

If I am in front of a person, or replying to a person who says I am such and such, or this and that because I am going against some worldly belief, some ideology of man, and they are in debate or argument with me regarding my spiritual beliefs, and I respond with “I’m sorry,” or “I apologize” that is weakness. Because I am more concerned with offending them or avoiding any confrontation than I am in standing firmly, boldly, UNAPOLOGETIC for the inerrant living word of God!

It can be confusing, words, I know. I use and would hope and pray you do as well APOLOGETICS daily in my faith while I will never APOLOGIZE or back down for my faith.

I have written of apologetics previously; Apologetics is the discipline of defending a position (often religious) through the systematic use of information. Early Christian writers (c. 120–220) who defended their faith against critics and recommended their faith to outsiders were called apologists.

What is apologetics?

Quite different from fearing the judgment of the world for ones Biblical faith and convictions having no concern with appeasing any individual while being always concerned and aware of letting God down, turning from God due to the worlds beguiling and cunning ways and pressures.

Do not back down to not cower, do not shirk from the truth of the word of God in an attempt to appease anyone or anything in the world. Do not concern yourself with upsetting someone, or offending them. If they are of this world and if they are being contentious, attempting to muddle, bog down, confuse or pervert and corrupt a doctrine contained within the Holy Bible? You must stand firmly, boldly for the TRUTH of Scripture and not water down, not back down, not surrender to the doctrines of this world over the holy doctrines of the Bible. Ever.

This has always been vitally important but all the more so in these last of the last days and the great rise of false teachers, unsound doctrine and the great falling away with the tens of millions of “itching ears turning to fables” and perverting and corrupting the word of God.

Example — do not apologize or back down as the world, and many along with an ever growing number of so-called “Christian denominations”  now almost unilaterally adopts acceptance of, and elevating of homosexuality and the perverted against God and nature homosexual “marriage.” Thus making lawlessness, perversion, immorality and going against God and nature legal in the courts of man. As if man has authority above and over God!

Do not apologize for recognizing and speaking out when a heretic, a false teacher is discovered. When a corruption or addition or omission to the inerrant word of God is spoken, preached from a pulpit, or written anywhere.

Do not be more concerned with having a specific person like and accept you, or a group like or accept you, or an apostate church or pastor accept you, or that appeasing and tolerating the abominations and sin of this wicked, lost, and diseased world will somehow make life easier for you being deceived and led astray in the lie that if so many people believe a certain way can they be wrong?

YES! They are!

Stand strong and boldly for the Lord, for the faith.

Saying “I’m sorry,” or “I apologize” to someone when we have made a true mistake, an error, we have mistreated someone, been rude, discourteous — so on is quite different than apologizing for a conviction of our faith because we’re worried about upsetting or offending someone, or getting into a debate or even an impassioned argument.

The world is actually weak while it appears to be the strong and true believers actually the strength in a very weak and growing weaker world. Do not allow that beautiful, whispering, beguiling and seductive old dragon the devil, or one of his ministers, get into your heart and soul weakening you as they are removing you from the strength of God, the strength of Jesus Christ, the strength of the Holy Spirit, and the strength of the inerrant word of God — OUR SWORD! To cut through the dung, the lies, the deceptions, the weak arguments of this sin-filled woeful lost and diseased world. The SWORD of the WORD — which cuts through any deceptions, lies, misdirection, unsound doctrine, philosophy of man attempting to usurp the inerrant living word of God! Do not rely upon our own minds and imaginings. Do not go into battle ill equipped and under supplied. Always, always, ALWAYS turn to, know, study, learn, pray upon and then USE THE SWORD OF THE INERRENT WORD OF GOD in this ongoing spiritual warfare each and every person without exception is part of.

The doctrines of the world have nothing to withstand the truth of the Scriptures.

Do not be afraid. Do no back down. Do not yield to sin and worldly wisdom and ideologies.

Never apologize for anything that is contained in the word of God. Do not ever alter anything contained in the word of God in an attempt to fit it into today’s view. Appeasement leads to eternal damnation. Tolerance of sin and abomination lead to eternal damnation. Adopting the false teachings and unsound doctrines of the myriad overwhelming sea of false teachers in these last days only leads to eternal damnation. God will judge us all. Everyone. No exceptions. Will we be found to have been more concerned with “fitting in,” and appealing to the ways of this world, or will we be found to have stood boldly, firmly, without apology for God, Christ, the Holy Spirit and the inerrant living word of God?

There is also strength in silence, in not responding, in not allowing to world to get to us. We have the example of Jesus our Lord in this during His entire illegal arrest, illegal trial and abuse and false witness given condemning Him. He did not defend Himself against human nature. He did not engage in debate or who was right attempting to gain the upper hand. Sometimes silence is the greatest strength and takes the greatest strength not to speak out.

If we begin to over think these matters they can perplex us, even paralyze us in our actions, in our interactions with other people. Do not allow this to happen. I pray none of us turn to fleshly understandings and we turn to spiritual understandings trusting in the Lord in all things. Turn continually to the word of God which will increase the wisdom, discernment, and knowledge of the word to use the word and its instruction, its teachings, its example to us in every situation this life can present.

Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.

Luke 21:10-18

For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Luke 12:12

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 14:26

Also, there is a danger in imagining if a person does say “I’m sorry,” or they say or write, “I apologize” that person is showing weakness. It all depends on the context. The who, the where, the why it is being said. The world now views apologizing at any time about anything as weakness. The world puts forth very conflicting messages because the world is a cauldron of mayhem, confusion, rebellion and anxiety fueled by the prince of this earth for a season — on one hand the world demands a persona and front of constant toughness. The tough guy, tough person constant front — while also demanding a tolerance and acceptance of the softness, the weakness the world is sorely afflicted with. Tolerance of anything and everything vile, evil, sinful and against God. Inclusion of anything corrupt, perverted and against God, Christ, the Holy Spirit while always turning further away from the truth embracing the spiritual disease of the world.

(Dangers in the Way Series): Resisting the Worlds Propaganda — Ephesians 5:15 — by A.W. Tozer

This can become quite confusing, exactly like what exactly do words with multiple meanings mean as they are used. If we allow ourselves to become confused. Remember — there is no lying, no sin, no evil, no rebellion, no mayhem, NO CONFUSION in, with, or from God and His Son, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit. Lying, sin, evil, rebellion, mayhem and CONFUSION only emanates and comes from ONE SOURCE — Satan. That old dragon the devil. The ADVERSARY. Who controls our minds and thus our souls, our spirits, and our lives!?

If in doubt? Ask. Rather than imagine. Seek out the Lord. Seek out the inerrant word of God. Seek out an explanation from the person or source causing you any confusion. Because the imagining might be so far off from the truth it will only complicate and mislead one further. So clarify. Even though people claim we live in the greatest communication age in world history actual communication between people has greatly eroded and declined. True communication is in truth at an all-time low worldwide in thousands of years. We imagine ourselves propelling forward so progressive while we fall backward in our blindness. People do not communicate fully or well to be understood many times. This is vitally important when it comes to matters of an individuals beliefs, their faith or lack of it.

Know the context. Discern the intent by prayerful meditation upon the word of God. Ask for spiritual wisdom and have faith and it will be given. Ask for spiritual discernment and have faith God will bestow that upon you and it will be given.

Saying “I’m sorry” when we’ve hurt or wronged someone, when we’ve made a mistake is quite different from offending someone because we take a firm stand on Biblical teachings and doctrine which runs opposite of this worlds teachings and doctrines.

Learn and know the differences. Do not be afraid. The Lord is our strength and will give us strength in all things.

Likewise, when we are weak, when we humble ourselves and submit to Him and obey? We then become stronger.

It only appears contradictory or confusing to a person lacking discernment and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which provides a knowing which cannot be known by this world.

Therein lies the whole point — those of and in this world see, think, hear, act, speak, write; do everything differently than a person who has been renewed of mind and spirit in Christ and is now the Lord’s, committing their life to God and Christ.

I’m sorry if you don’t see or understand this. And that means something entirely different as well.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Romans 8:26

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:30

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
