Beware!

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:8

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

Jeremiah 23:16

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

Jeremiah 29:8-9

How many of us in our daily walk think on the above verse throughout our day and night as we come upon myriad things before us? How many of us are more likely to be off guard? Not making a vigilant effort. Far from sober — and understand the meaning in its usage in the verse above. Not even thinking about the devil as a roaring lion desiring nothing more than to devour us every second of every day we’re here on earth?

This column came to me as almost all of them do. Not by plan or intent, or what I had in mind as I sat down to work. I usually begin my devoted time to work on ACP by looking over and reading a number of articles, news pieces, and commentaries written by many other people, many different sources. Then I pray the Lord leads me in what I am about to do. Often I have an idea which has been in my heart and mind I think I will commence writing about. Just as often the Lord leads me to not what I think I ought to do, but what is the more important matter at hand.

Today as I sat to begin I went to a source I often read, and have posted many articles written by the man who operates the websites, and I happened to scroll down and see an article about a woman, a popular well known professed Christian pastor of a large well known church, and of her “prophecies” and how she had “prophesized” something in the past which came true — about 2 elections in America — and now this man who writes and operates a number of websites was writing up how this Dr. so-and-so professed Christian pastor and prophet was making another prophecy.

I was then led to search out some of the things this woman supposed to be a prophet of God had said and done in the past. I found many videos posted from her church. A lot of asking for money. And I watched about two and a half minutes of one video and clearly discerned the woman is a false prophet. She was relaying a story about how her and her husband were in India and some man began praying and after only a few minutes into the prayer she went “into the spirit realm” her words not mine, and two large white wings were affixed to her shoulders and she was an angel for God.

Then I read about her so-called prophecies from the past. Her election predictions, oh, excuse me, “prophecy” in which of course is a 50/50 roll of the dice for anyone to make and if correct it will be publicized and if not kept quiet. Her prophecies?

More PREDICTIONS. In reality.

There is a vast difference between being a true Biblical prophet and worldly prophet, or prognosticator, predictor of events and happenings. The Holy Bible is rife with false prophets at the beck and call of the various kings and rulers from old covenant days to new covenant days. While there are very few true Biblical prophets of God in the entire Holy Bible.

I am including an article which was just recently posted here on ACP which directly relates to all of this. It illustrates the state of how lost and sinful, how apostate and doing their own will rather than God’s will but using God’s name to misled people. False teachers. Unsound doctrine. Not Biblical. Not of God. False prophets;

Holy Ground or Barren Ground?

True Biblical prophets are NEVER wrong. Because they truly are the messengers chosen by God to alert, instruct, reprove and admonish people in the ways and will of the Lord. Beware of those whose faith is based on their own ideas, feelings, and what they think is right, or how they would like to see things be rather than on what God’s Word says. Today’s false prophets, just as throughout the Bible are more concerned with earthly gain, appeasing and pleasing, and speaking to people about how they can have the best life on earth rather than how to live to attain eternal life in heaven. Showmen and women. Yes men and women. Worldly men and women. More false prophets than can be counted.

True Biblical prophets never beg or ask for money. True Biblical prophets do not promote self and use God, Jesus, and the Word of God for their own gain. Being nothing more than third rate actors and operating exactly as those snake bite, buy this elixir and it’ll cure everything that ails you! shysters and salesmen who used to travel from town to town in horse drawn or mule drawn wagons selling grain alcohol from the back of their wagons.

True Biblical prophets place their faith in God. In deed. In action. Not just in words being televised, videotaped, or recorded for use on YouTube or some radio station.

Is your pastor, your minister, the person you turn to for supposed Biblical instruction a true Bible teacher or are they a philosopher? A worldly philosopher spinning tales and presenting illustrations? Putting forth philosophy rather than teaching DIRECTLY FROM the Word of God and not omitting or altering anything within the complete Word of God? Does your preacher, minister, or pastor mortify sin? Preach on and whole complete Bible? Place their faith in the Holy Spirit to led them in what to feed the congregation rather than, well, it’s the 3rd Sunday in April so it’s time for sermon #266.

Does your pastor or minister preach of hell? Chastise and reprove out of love for where every soul in his keep may go if he does not do so, according to the Word of God?

The list of well known false teachers and false prophets is long and growing longer. Too long to list here and merely presenting a list of names does not do anything of worth for anyone. The worth, the value, the teachings, the truth only and always comes from the Word of God. We all are to turn to the Word of God in all things — and especially when it comes to some doctrine or preaching or teaching we hear or come across which claims to be Christian in nature.

Today, in the apostate church which now appears to dominate and supersede the TRUE Church the dominant messages are totally opposite of what the inerrant Word of God reveals to us and instructs us.

Human beings are filled with depravity and sin. The world of people is a dark, stinking cesspool of lies, pretenders, deceivers, abominations, sin, coveting, greed, consumption, perversion — every imagining of man is against God and sinful all the day and night long.

Yet what comes down from the pulpits of America and the Western world are the false teachings of all-inclusiveness, tolerance of all things everything, anything and everything goes don’t worry, self-esteem; it’s better to feel good about yourself right now than face up to the fact your not living according to the Word of God and need to sacrifice, submit, and put aside self and serve the Lord.

It’s all love, love, love all you need is love — not as the Word teaches, but according to the world’s errant and ill-defined meaning of the word. Which immediately leads whoever is hearing these messages down the wrong path right from the get go.

Pastors, preachers and ministers want to put backsides in pews so when the collection baskets are passed the dollar totals keep them in business rather than preaching what the people gathered there need to hear to fortify, convict, instruct in the ways of God.

Today people only want to hear what they like and agree with. Not what is truly in their best interest or will in truth save them, spare them pain and suffering, spare them eternal hell fire.

They only care about feeling good now and appearing a certain way rather than being right in the sight of God.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1 John 4:1

The Narrow Gate

(Luke 13:22-30)

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

A Tree and its Fruit

(Matthew 12:33-37; Luke 6:43-45)

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:13-23

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:11

And as true disciples of Jesus Christ and chosen people of God we are to judge all things, correct those who espouse and teach unsound doctrine, false teachings, and we are to test all spirits and discern well and wisely using the Word of God as our source, our only necessary source;

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

Correcting False Teachers

For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Titus 1:9-16

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Colossians 2:8

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Romans 16:17

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

1 Thessalonians 5:21

We ought to leave the judging of those outside the fold to God since we do not know if a person we see who is clearly living a sinful life will have their heart pierced and turn to God. But we are clearly instructed to judge and have nothing to do with those who are immoral within the professed body of Christ, the church;

Expel the Immoral Brother

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

1 Corinthians 5:9-13

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

John 7:24

And we judge using righteous judgment, we exhort, we chastise, we reprove, we admonish, we CORRECT OUT OF LOVE for our brothers and sister going astray following unsound doctrine and false prophets — and we CORRECT false prophets out of GENUINE DEEP LOVE for God, Christ, the Truth of Scriptures, for the Truth of the Gospel, for the sake of the eternal spirits and souls of those espousing false teachings or following them!

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Ephesians 4:15

The Lord’s Approved Workman

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

2 Timothy 2:14-26

The times, the age is not going to improve or get better. Our best days are not ahead of us. The world and its people, the apostate church, the false prophets and teachers are going to get worse and worse by the day;

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

2 Timothy 3:13

Do not accept or automatically believe something a professed Christian might say or write, or what a pastor or thought as man or woman of God says or writes as being true according to the Word of God.

Do not gravitate to and follow that which makes you feel good all the time. Which reinforces your self-esteem and you like what you hear or read.

Test all spirits. Test all men, all women supposedly of God with Scripture as your litmus test. Read, truly read and hear, truly hear what a pastor, preacher, professed Christian is writing or saying and GO TO THE INEARRANT WORD OF GOD to make sure what they are writing or saying is based solely and truly in Scripture and is not their own worldly interpretation, or their feelings and desires.

Do not automatically go with the flow, go with the tide — because the days are evil. The church is apostate and filled with unsound teachings and false prophets and teachers, and the tide is a deadly riptide which will pull you down, pull you out into the dark depths from which you may not be prepared or strong enough to pull away from. You may be consumed along with hundreds of millions more in the dark, cold depths leading to death of the tide of false teachings in our world now and increasing by the day.

Always go to God. Always go to Christ. In prayer. In Their inerrant complete living Word which covers every possible thing, event, occurrence or situation that can happen to anyone anywhere at any time. God’s Word covers everything any person can, wants, or needs to know.

Turn to God, Christ and the Bible first.

Have faith in the Holy Spirit to indwell you. Instruct you. Ask for spiritual wisdom and discernment of God and have faith it will be bestowed upon and within you — and then do not misuse or abuse or neglect that which you have been given. Spend time in God’s Word to know that teaching which is true and those which are false.

It isn’t that difficult. Really. It’s isn’t.

Doing these things can mean the difference between life and death. Eternal life or eternal death.

We correct, we call out, we boldly approach the throne of God, we study to be approved workman, we speak out, we let our light shine we reprove, admonish, chastise and rebuke out of LOVE because we are deeply and truly concerned regarding the spiritual life of those before us, those we know, those who we see are speaking unsound doctrine, espousing words of a false prophet, or taking a path contrary to the Word of God.

Beware false prophets and the wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing leading the flock astray and to their demise — ravenous wolves are everywhere at this time in the apostate church.

Beware false prophets!
