As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

Daniel 9: 13

“…If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Jesus Christ speaking in John 8: 31,32

The truth is the truth whether you can stomach it or agree with it. What we choose to believe as true is often, I would go as far to say the majority of the time, based upon environment. Conditioning. Propaganda. The message those around us, those in power, those desiring control want us to believe. In other words the majority of men and women gravitate to the evil and lies of the world, and obey the father of lies, Satan, rather than obey the truth of God, Jesus Christ the Lord, the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God – the uncorrupted, non-perverted, not softened in translation to soothe the psyche of professed believers who would rather serve the world than God and Christ Word of God; the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

You disagree?

A little over 500 years ago anyone proposing anything but that the earth was flat was treated as a person would be treated today who proposes homosexuality is a sin – held in the minority and treated as if they are ignorant and ‘unenlightened.’

Jesus Christ went on in John 8 to tell those before Him, the Jews who contested they were of Abraham’s seed and were never in bondage, that “Whoever commiteth sin is the servant of sin” (John 8: 34).

The truth has become more victim to the whims of men’s objectives and definitions with the passage of time and the increase of evil. With the making the once lawless and immoral now lawful and accepted. The once deviant now defined as normal. With the visible and growing great falling away, the great apostasy of the last days the truth is sacrificed daily.  The truth is sacrificed to meet a goal, an agenda. The truth is corrupted to elevate men and women. Mostly the truth is avoided and the lie is lived because the vast majority of men and women fear the light of the truth. This applies to those professing to be Christian in these times as much as it does to the unbeliever.

To do this is not always easy for me. There are times I must push myself for the spirit nor the flesh are willing. And I digress and get caught up in the whirlwind of this earthly life. I have many physical afflictions to contend and contest and counter with in order to do what it is I believe in my spirit and soul I must do for the Lord and His truth. His Word. His gospel of salvation and freedom, of grace and love, of mercy for all sinners – and that includes everyone ever born, presently alive, or yet to be born before His return.

I am at present in the throes of one of those times I must push myself at every level in order to do this which I do for the honor and praise of the Lord our God and His Son, Jesus Christ. I ask all readers of this to please pray for me that if it be the Lord’s will my days be measured further, and that He ease the burden of my afflictions so I can continue on this work I believe I am to do.

That is one truth I do not mention much.

When I was in high school, which would be going back in time over 40 year now, I was sitting in an English class in my senior year and the teacher asked “What is the only thing that is true?”

And the class was quiet at first. Then slowly one student to another began to speak words they thought were the correct answer. And the responses were all over the board. All the accepted truths people had come to believe at that point. And the teacher tossed in an objective to each one. Dismissing the responses with his learned and finite logic and knowledge, yet he refuted every answer.

After this went on for about 3 minutes I raised my hand and said, “The truth.”

And the teachers face beamed and he smiled, and he shouted “Yes! Only the truth is true!”

And the class was stymied and dazed and left wondering. Most turned off by this. You could see it in their eyes. Others intrigued.

Of course, this class, and this teacher existed that day to put forward more of the worldly knowledge and wisdom of the public school system – which by the way was light years ahead in truly educating in those days then at present – but I never forgot that experience in that particular class.

Only the truth is true.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Deuteronomy 32: 4

Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

1 Samuel 12: 24

And there is only one truth, one source of truth: God our Creator and His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Godhead is the only source of truth in the universe. And we in our time, in our limited capacity in this fleshly dimension can know this truth through the living Word of God and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to revel to us God’s will, God’s plan God’s truth.

God’s plan in part. God’s will for all we need to know each day of our life here on earth.

And God’s truth to set us free and bring us to Him through the salvation of the blood of His resurrected and living Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.

The example of the English class I was in over 40 years ago exhibited the teachings of ‘Relativism’ which sprung up from its dormant seed in the 20th century to sprout, grow, and consume the light of the truth. In the 20th century the truth became whatever it was anyone believed. Each individuals beliefs were true – no matter what it was they believed. It all became ‘relative.’ And this has become the accepted definition of truth in our time.

If I were to believe there is an apple in Malaysia which looks like Jesus Christ, because I believe the paintings and illustrations of what artists contend Christ looked like, and I hold that image in my mind as true, and I believe this rotting apple in Malaysia is a sign from God and can give me some sort of blessing I might bid for it, if it were placed on eBay for sale, or I might call a travel agency and book a flight and travel costing me thousands of dollars – and to the world? It’s “Whatever you believe, man, that’s fine with us. To each their own.”

We increase the lies exponentially by the nanosecond distancing ourselves from the truth and from God our Creator, and from Jesus Christ the only source of truth and life.

In this series, I know not how long it shall be, how many parts it will consist of, or how long I will be on this topic – we will discuss and enter into God’s truth. The truth only found in Scriptures. The only truth which is truly true.

To be continued…

Just a correction the Word of God and Jesus are the same (see john 1 and revelation 19:13). I have a question do you have complete truth in all t hings? I think only the Father does or can. Our lack of ability to know the truth completely is evident in our church Denominations. They all s upposedly have the truth as God has shown them however its all different. And if you don’t agree with their version of truth your heretical and thoroughly discredited. How can that be? Just some things to think about. The whole truth from the Fathers perspective is bigger than we can comprehend totally. We digest small parts and add that too our carnal mindset and have something that is 50-50 or 75-25 truth and error. Putting the scripturez out and saying that’s the truth is true in a sense. The problem arises when people try to explain what it says and means. Carnality, the worlds mindset and our traditions give us our interpretation. Thats where the problem arises. Without the spirit of God we are helpess and void of complete truth. Our Father knew that which is why we need to walk in humility and reliance on him. That process takes time and much pruning in our lives.

      Rick,

I realize in John 1:1 and in Revelation 19:13 Jesus Christ the Lord is defined as the Word, and the Word of God. I never disputed this. I do not see where you are coming from other than to start a discussion from a point of contention or confusion and invoke semantics and things never said or written in order to mislead.

I, personally, as a man of flesh, in my finite mind, do not have complete truth in all things as you asked.

The Holy Bible, the Scriptures, the Word of God does. The complete, living, inerrant Word of God from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21 is the complete truth in all things. There is nothing – no situation, no person, no circumstance, no time, no era which can occur to any man or woman at any time which is not made clear for all through the living inerrant Word of God.

While there is some mystery and symbolism contained within the Bible ninety-nine percent of it is a clear as the air which Adam and Eve breathed in the Garden of Eden when they were made in perfection by God the Creator, made in perfection by the Word who created all things and was God and was with God from before the beginning.

This world, since the fall of man in the Garden, is given to Satan, the prince of the earth, to rule over for a season. Satan is loosed. He has free reign. Sin is evident and exists in all things and in all people. None are exempt from sin. All are guilty. The flesh is corrupted by the sin of man. That needs to be mentioned and not only mentioned but understood and believed as a truth which is found in Scripture. Far too many people omit the truth of sin. They omit the truth of the devil’s existence and his being given free reign in the hearts and minds of men and women for a season.

I mention this in reply to your writing of denominations. If you have spent any time on “A Crooked Path” you then know what I have written and the news and information I have gleaned and placed on “A Crooked Path” in conjunction concerning denominations. Denominations are of men not of God. In the beginning of the Christian faith there was one church, one faith and no denominations. There were true believers in Jesus Christ as Lord and believers in His word and in His death and resurrection and shedding of blood for the washing away of sin. Period.

There was contention and power struggles and every affliction and iniquity which can impact every church at any time no matter what they call themselves. The Epistles of the Apostle Paul to all the churches of Asia and the Mediterranean region and all they went through apply to every church as it stands, or falls today. Everything applies. From the concern over laws and rituals rather than grace, to who is in greater power within the church, to minutea, to the great matters of following false doctrine and false teachers and being in apostasy, and everything in between.

Yes, denominations take one away from the truth of God more than they bring one closer to the truth of God because every denomination has its foundation and origin in the heart of man and not of God. A man, or in some cases a woman, has latched on to usually one belief they ascribe to over all others and they build a denomination around their personal belief which is usually alien to the truth of the Word of God.

The original first church of Christians splintered due to attempting to bring together Jews and Gentiles under one belief system. Many of the Jews, through centuries of tradition, while they were true believers in Jesus Christ as Lord clung to the law and placed the law above grace. And the Gentiles harbored ill-will and resentment towards the Jewish Christians and it got to the point where the Church of Rome after about 300 years of having one church, one faith caused such turmoil and dissention they took the Church of Rome on a completely different and errant path.

On “A Crooked Path” you will find many articles both in things I have written and in the “Last Days News” area pertaining to denominations. There are literally tens of thousands of them at present and they are morphing and growing at a rate never seen before as more and more individuals are convinced they are the ones who have a corner on the truth.

I have never made such a false claim and never would.

There is one source of absolute truth. That is the God, Jesus Christ the Lord, the Holy Spirit, and the complete Word of God – the Holy Bible, which I stated in part 1 of “Truth is Not Relative” if you took the time to read the column in its entirety.

God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Scriptures are all One. I wrote that and I do not see how something as clear as that can be misunderstood or omitted in the discussion.

Something that absolutely fries me as I reside in this flesh as a man is how people like to slice and dice I call it anything which comes their way. They omit 90% of something and only like to deal in the 10%’s or even less. And unless we begin dealing in completes, in wholes, in the 100% we might as well not even bother.

I do not know if this is from the obsession of brevity which has gripped our culture by the throat and most now think 140 characters is maximum communication, or its just the expansion of evil as evil controls them and keeps them focused on only 1% or 3% of something and that becomes a distortion and all they seem to know or care about.

Let’s deal in completes. In wholes. In 100%’s shall we? In all things.

Yes, we read, contemplate, pray over and comprehend the Word of God in small parts at a time in order to garner discernment and understanding – which only comes through the Holy Spirit working within each person. And each time I read the Bible my depth of understanding increases. Even in reading the same books, chapters, or verses over and over.

Practice, practice, practice! leads the way closer to perfection, or at least greater discernment and a growth of wisdom. Reading the Word of God is nourishment. It is what gives us spiritual growth and feeds our spiritual lives which are much more important than any aspect of our earthly lives.

I take exception with your statement that due to our carnal mindset we have something resembling 50-50 or 75-25 percent truth and error. If we are true believers? And if we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within us? And we reply upon God solely and not upon the teachings of men? And we turn to the Word of God? We then are exposed to 100% truth with ZERO error. There is no error in the Bible. And, as I mentioned earlier, and I have mentioned no less than probably 500 times on “A Crooked Path” the Word of God is crystal clear and very easy to understand and know the meaning of God if we permit that understanding to occur. If we come of a pure heart and spirit. If we pursue God with right intent. If we seek Him and are sincere in our approach.

God will give us every morsel of understanding we each need. And no less.

And there ought not be any contention. Any multiple interpretations of 95% of what is contained in the Bible.

If people are true believers and are indwelt of the Holy Spirit, and are of a sincere heart and mind and come to the Lord and His Word simply and humbly there will no be any confusion or incorrect interpretation. The interpretation of a heathen or a person of the world, or that of a false teacher, a wolf in sheep’s clothing versus a true believer indwelt of the Holy Spirit are two completely different matters. And all that matters is the pure truth of God to the true believer.

Even the heretic, even the heathen, even the greatest of sinners and the most professing of false teachers can see the light of the truth through God’s infinite power if they would permit Him to enter in and serve the Lord rather than serve themselves, worldly philosophies and doctrines, and rather than serving Satan as they do.

      It isn’t that complex really.

I hope you’ll come back to “A Crooked Path” and read the entire series which at this point I do not know how long it will be or even all the places the Lord will take me in writing this. And I hope and pray if you are new to “A Crooked Path” you will take some time and explore its categories and articles and see if the truth is found here.

Not my truth. I am not truth. Nor have I or would I make the claim I am truth or know all the truth – al the truth can be found and is contained in only one source; God our Creator and Father, Jesus Christ our Lord, the Holy Spirit, and the living inerrant Word of God, the Holy Bible, the Scriptures.
