Radical Islam: A Problem World Leaders Must Confront

By Neil Snyder

American Thinker

Radical Islam is a growing problem throughout the world.  In Europe, it’s a burgeoning issue that politicians have been unwilling to address properly because of the influence of Muslims there, but it’s a critical problem in the United States, too — especially in our nation’s prisons.

The mood in the U.S. is so anti-anti-Islam that politicians run for cover whenever Islam is raised as an issue.  Not so with Representative Peter King (R-New York).  He endured death threats and ridicule from liberals because he held hearings in the House of Representatives to investigate the Islamist threat we face as a nation.  The people who castigated King because he took his job in the House seriously will be the first in line to raise a ruckus if/when a homegrown terrorist, maybe an ex-convict who is out on parole, attacks innocent men, women, and children in this country.

I’m reminded of a scene in the movie Ghost Writer.  Pierce Brosnan plays a former British prime minister being charged with crimes against humanity in the International Criminal Court (ICC) in Geneva, Switzerland for trying to prevent terrorist attacks in Great Britain.  Toward the end of the movie, Brosnan tells his ghostwriter (Ewan McGregor) that if he had it to do all over again, he would have two lines for people boarding planes out of England.  The first line would lead to planes carrying passengers whose terrorist affiliations and connections were not investigated.  The second line would lead to planes carrying passengers who had been cleared.  He says, in effect, “You know which planes the chronic complainers would board.  Every one of them would choose a plane that we cleared.”

The movie is fiction, but the problem is real.  World leaders who attempt to deal with the growing Islamist militancy problem that’s spreading across the globe like a putrid infection are at risk of being charged with crimes against humanity or worse in the ICC.  For example, President George W. Bush was forced to cancel a trip to Geneva in February 2011 to avoid being charged with crimes against humanity for the role he played as president of the United States in creating the federal prison in Guantánamo Bay, where the U.S. holds captured terrorists.

Radical Islam Is a Global Threat

An article in a June 2011 issue of The Weekly Standard titled “From Somalia to Nigeria: Jihad” stops far short of revealing the extent to which radical Islamists have infiltrated countries around the world.  “From Somalia to Nigeria” is across the heart of Africa, from the Arabian Sea to the South Atlantic, but jihadists have a major presence in every North African country, too, from Morocco to Egypt.  Their presence in the Middle East is obvious as well, from Saudi Arabia to Lebanon and Syria, but it doesn’t stop there.  They have created strongholds in Iran, Afghanistan, and the Indian subcontinent.  Their reach extends from India to the Philippines and Indonesia and into the heart of Asia from China to Russia.

Jihadists are active in Europe, too, but their presence doesn’t stop there, either.  They have footholds in most South American countries, including Venezuela, Bolivia, and Brazil.  Like a thriving cancer, jihadists have extended their reach to North America from Mexico to the United States to Canada.

Radical Islam is a problem that the entire world must confront.  It’s not about politics.  It’s about eradicating a festering sore before it turns into gangrene and threatens our very existence.

The YouTube videos below showing recent violent outbursts in Cairo aimed at Coptic Christians who dared to stand up for their rights demonstrate what the Arab Spring has become.  Discrimination against Christians and Jews in the Muslim world isn’t limited to Egypt.  It exists in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, and most other predominantly Muslim countries.

The U.S. doesn’t need a president who bows and scrapes before Islamic despots in hopes of currying favor — something that President Obama is prone to do.  We need a president who is willing to lead the leaders of the world in a global mission before it’s too late.  We didn’t declare war on jihadists.  They declared war on us, and they are deadly serious.  We should be, too.

We Don’t Need Dilettantes in Leadership Positions

In a recent article, Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz pointed out that after a terrorist attack on Norway, Norway’s ambassador to Israel said that Hamas’ terrorist activity against Israel is more justified than terrorist attacks against Norway.  The ambassador’s logic was simple, naïve, and asinine.  “We Norwegians,” he said, “consider the occupation to be the cause of the terror against Israel.”

First things first: the land in question in Israel isn’t “occupied.”  It’s “disputed land.”  There’s a huge difference.  People in Norway need to get it straight, and so do people in other nations around the world.

Second, Islamofascists have made it clear that they have set their sights on the entire world.  They say that they want a one-world caliphate under sharia law.  They don’t really mean that, though — they don’t want the rule of any law.  They are subversive butchers, murderers, and thieves — Islamist anarchists, as it were.  They are a threat to everyone, Muslims included.  They don’t like even each other.

Third, the terrorist attack on Norway wasn’t carried out by a radical Islamist.  It was perpetrated by Anders Breivik, a man who was reported by the Western media to be a Christian.  His manifesto proves that that’s not so, but the anti-Christian point of view sells in a world where it’s okay to attack Jews and Christians, but not Muslims.

We may be witnessing the beginning of a global backlash against radical Islamists in the wake of government unwillingness to address the problem.  In a nutshell, I’m saying that I don’t think Breivik was a lone wolf.  Neither do I believe that the anti-Islamists of the world are connected in a formal sense — not yet, anyway, but that day may come.

When governments fail to do their jobs, people take matters into their own hands.  I’m not excusing Breivik’s brutal, unprovoked attack on innocent victims, many of whom were children.  I’m simply stating a fact, and I’ll repeat it to make sure that my message is crystal-clear.  If people who are charged with the responsibility to secure our nations won’t do their jobs, vigilantism will result.  It’s a dangerous consequence of government failure.

Get Off Your Knees, Iran Warns Palestinian Leader

By Reza Kahlili

American Thinker

Iran is stepping up its condemnation of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas after his recent speech to the United Nations General Assembly seeking statehood for the Palestinian people.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, last week denounced a two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians, saying Abbas’s appeal for statehood is doomed.

The Palestinians should not limit themselves to seeking a country based on the pre-1967 borders because “all land belongs to the Palestinians,” Khamenei said in an address to the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada, being held in Tehran.

“We neither propose dumping the migrant Jews in the sea nor the U.N. arbitration. Rather, our proposal includes a referendum to be participated in by all Palestinians,” Iran’s semi-official FARS news agency reported Khamenei as saying.

“Today the West is standing on a crossroads, and it should either leave its age-old bullying and recognize the rights of the Palestinians or wait for harder blows in the near future,” Khamenei warned.

Iranian leaders have always seen Abbas as an appeaser of the West and a barrier to the Iranian regime’s influence in the Palestinian territories.  In order to challenge his authority, the Iranian leaders have continuously provided funding and arms to its terrorist proxies in the region such as the Islamic Jihad, the al-Aqsa Brigades, and Hamas.

The Mahramaneh Online Website, which is close to Khamenei, in a recent analysis wrote that “[u]nfortunately what we witnessed in the … speech … by Abbas, the so-called representative of the Palestinians, at the United Nations was nothing more than a feeble and dispassionate speech that felt more like begging for affection; one can say that Abbas begged away a part of the Palestinian people’s rights, and giving that main part away for acceptance, he pleaded and supplicated at the United Nations.”

Mahramaneh Online implied that Abbas is a “stupid, inexperienced politician” because he should know that “begging, pleading and supplicating do not help one obtain one’s rights. No politician ever gives up something that he has arrived at through force and invasion,” referring to Israel’s conquest of Palestinian lands.

Mahramaneh Online concluded that no nation will be able to achieve its rights without war.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ website, Javan Online, added in a recent commentary that it is only through war and destruction of Israel that a free Palestine could be achieved.

“The biggest goal of supporting the Palestinian Intifada is the fall of Israel, and that with the current events in the region (the Arab Spring), Israel is next in the line,” Javan Online warned.

Negotiations are not the way forward, Javan Online said.

“History attests to the fact that any discussion between the Palestinians and Israel will either end in indignity or will be diverted onto the path of corruption,” Javan Online said.  “The downfall of Yasser Arafat, the living director of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, was his acceptance in 1988 of Article 242 of the U.N. Security Council.”

Article 242, passed unanimously after 1967′s Six-Day War, refers in its preamble to the “inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war and the need to work for a just and lasting peace in the Middle East in which every State in the area can live in security.”  That article has been the basis for all Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.

“The only way to liberate Jerusalem,” Javan Online said, “is for the resistance of the nation of Palestine and their firm stance, as well as an international united and defiant front which will send shivers through the weak Israeli posture, but given the new regional shifts and the awakening of the Islamic masses, it will quicken the liberation of Palestine and the downfall of Israel.”

It is time to realize that in the view of the Islamists ruling Iran, there is no room for Israel in the future of the region and that they are committed to the elimination of Israel even if that means a destructive war, which would destabilize not only the region, but also the world.

“The murderous Zionist regime of Israel ultimately is reaching the final fall and destruction of its own non-existence,” Khamenei has warned.

One Thousand for One Confirms the Jewish Value of Life

By JanSuzanne Krasner

American Thinker

“If all goes according to plan, Gilad will be returning to Israel in the coming days.”

These were the words spoken by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu after meeting with his cabinet advisors through the early hours of Wednesday morning, October 12.  But it was only a few days earlier, in public forums and press statements, that Hamas leaders began threatening that more Israeli soldiers were going to be kidnapped.

On Monday, October 3, a senior Hamas official warned that Israel’s continued refusal to be flexible in its position regarding the Shalit prisoner deal will only fuel Hamas’s “need” for the abduction of more Israeli soldiers to be used as bargaining chips.  Hamas lawmaker Ismail al-Ashqar vowed: “More of Shalit’s kind are coming,” and”efforts to kidnap soldiers will continue until all Palestinian prisoners are freed.”

Four days later, Ahmed Bahar, a Gaza-based Hamas leader and deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, also called for Palestinian militants to seize more Israeli soldiers for future exchanges with Palestinians held in Israeli jails.  “The popular, political, media and diplomatic efforts inside and outside can never be an alternative to the military efforts to rescue our prisoners from the oppressive occupation’s prisons,” he said.  “We should be tireless of making every possible effort to seize Zionist soldiers and exchange them through prisoners swap deals.”

In addition, Bahar called upon the Arab League, its secretary general, and international rights organizations to intervene and help release their imprisoned people as the Israeli government began a new and tougher approach to the kidnapping negotiations by tightening measures imposed on Palestinian prisoners.  In protest of their privileges being taken away and a much stricter enforcement of the prison rules by the Israeli prison authorities, around 6,000 Arab and Palestinian prisoners had been holding a hunger strike in all the 25 Israeli jails for ten days.

Bahar then claimed: “It’s unreasonable that United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon visited Shalit’s family but ignored thousands of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.”  It should be quite apparent to Americans, as well as to the rest of the world, that Shalit is a pawn in the Palestinian prisoner-trading game.

Corporal Gilad Shalit is a French-Israeli IDF soldier who was seized in June 2006 by Hamas terrorists after Israel had withdrawn from Gaza.  These terrorists had tunneled into an IDF post along the border, killed two Israeli soldiers, and captured Shalit.  The Hamas leadership determined that Shalit’s life would be worth the freedom of a thousand Palestinian captives in exchange for his release and have been completely unwilling to negotiate for anything less.

The efforts of Shalit’s parents and friends around the world, as well as international organizations and emissaries trying to obtain his release, have been unrelenting.  The Shalit capture has become a very high-profile offense, with consequences affecting all Israeli citizens, and it has not been easy for them to come to terms with Hamas’s enormous demands.  The stipulations of Hamas’s exchange plans are always far beyond unreasonable, and their outlandish request for Israel to release a thousand prisoners back into society had previously been a major controversy in the government’s decision to agree to the swap.

In the past five years, PM Netanyahu’s reticence in the face of public pressure to make a deal with Hamas for Shalit’s release has accounted for the real danger that such a swap would free militants and put the security of Israel at risk.  However, the specifics of this new agreement must be a little different, because PM Netanyahu said that the new deal reached had “the right balance between all these considerations.” However, one must also take into consideration that the Israeli government realizes that the window of opportunity to bring Shalit home may close in the very near future as the Middle East, and especially Egypt, continues to destabilize in the surrounding area.

A Time Magazine report indicated some of the details for the exchange of the Palestinian prisoners.  The first 450 are to be identified by Hamas and will include as many as 315 men convicted of killing hundreds of Israelis in terror attacks, and the next 550 will be chosen by Israel.

During these five years of Gilad’s captivity, the leaders of Hamas have stuck to their very tough bargaining position, believing that they had the upper hand and that, eventually, Israeli would succumb to the high price.  Their correct assessment of the situation was not hard to come by, as they had recently experienced the Israeli government responding in a similar manner when two soldiers went missing after an attack along the Lebanese border in July 2008.

In that exchange, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert traded five Lebanese prisoners, including the murderer Samir Kuntar, along with the bodies of 199 others, for the bodies of two Israeli soldiers captured in the Hezbollah border attack that sparked the 2006 Lebanon War.  In this case, although Israeli officials thought that both soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were killed in the attack, getting their bodies back was the only way to be sure that they were dead.

Both of these completely lopsided swap deals serve as a testament to the Jewish people and the values of life that they hold so dear.  A passage from the Jerusalem Talmud (Sanhedrin 4:1 [22a]), one of the most sacred texts of ancient Judaism, as well as written in three other places in rabbinic literature, extols the virtues of saving a life.  The English translation is “Whoever destroys a soul, it is considered as if he destroyed an entire world. And whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world.”  This is a belief that the sanctity of each person’s life is one of the bedrocks of the Jewish faith binding the citizens of Israel.  It also represents a true contrast between the values of Israel and the Jewish people and those of the enemies who surround them.  In fact, on the day that Gilad Shalit is returned to Israel, the world will witness Israel’s celebration of life as every Israeli citizen participates in a national day of joy.

This biblical concept of the value of life is still in the heart and soul of Jewish people, entrusting the Israelis with the highest standards applied towards the defense of life.  But at the same time, it has made the Israeli government and its people extremely vulnerable to this form of extortion.  The Palestinian Arab leadership has learned how to play the Israeli government for all its worth, knowing how Israel’s citizens will respond.  As a consequence, it is feared that capturing soldiers has become part of Hamas’s arsenal to terrorize the Israeli society.

Occupy Wall Street a favorite of Communists and dictators

K.E. Campbell

American Thinker

The occupying protesters’ day got off to a good start.  Iran’s supreme leader and “new leftists” in the People’s Republic of China have endorsed their cause.

During a speech today in Kermanshah, Iran, before a crowd of “tens of thousands,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said:

The corruption of the capitalist regime has become evident for these people (the protesters)… This movement will soar to completely mark the downfall of the West and the capitalist regime.

The speech was broadcast on Iran’s state-controlled television. Khamenei claimed the “corrupt foundation has been exposed to the American people” and the protest movement in the U.S., ultimately, “will grow so that it will bring down the capitalist system and the west.” A general in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard described the protests in the U.S. as the beginning of an “American Spring” that will culminate in the toppling of “the Western capitalist system.”

The occupiers (the Pot Party?) are drawing the attention, admiration, and support of fellow travelers in communist China too.  According to an article in Asian Times titled “New leftists salute Wall Street brethren”:

China’s new leftists – socialist critics of the country’s capitalist-style economic reforms – are beginning to lend support, declaring the [U.S.] demonstrations as a “great revolution” that sounds the death-knell for capitalism throughout the world.

The new leftists oppose what they view as Beijing’s “pro-capitalist and pro-U.S. policies” and “apparently see the U.S. protest movement as strong evidence in support of their faith.” (That would be faith in authoritarian government, not God or a Creator.)  The primary website of China’s new leftists, called Utopia, includes prominent references to the “Wall Street Revolution”, the “Death of Capitalism”, and praise for socialism and “Mao-style ideology”.

In a show of support for the U.S. occupiers, public gatherings have been held in at least two Chinese cities. Both gatherings were unhindered by Chinese authorities. Four days ago, in the city square of Luoyang in Henan province, participants “put up a big picture of Mao and displayed a huge banner with the slogan “To Staunchly Support American People’s Great ‘Wall Street’ Revolution!”".

Hugo Chavez endorsed the Occupy Wall Street protests days ago. So far, neither Fidel Castro nor Kim Jong-il has commented publicly, though North Korea’s state-controlled news service issued a press release describing the protests as being “against exploitation and oppression by capital” and declaring that similar protests “are expected take place in other capitalist countries.”

It is doubtful the endorsement by despots, dictators, and other oppressors will give the occupiers pause. Some people prefer an iron fist over the invisible hand or at least something more akin to it.  Many of the protesters apparently buy into the premise and false choice of a Baltimore Sun reader who, in support of his anti-free-market stance, asks: “Which is worse, a society ruled by a power-hungry, greedy dictator or a government run by power-hungry, greedy corporations?”

Predicting the Weatherman

By Jeffrey Folks

American Thinker

It is the nature of protest movements that they must either expand or wither away: they can never stand still.

The current Wall Street protests, originally conceived of as an “occupation,” are attempting to

maintain their momentum by expanding their numbers, occupying more territory, and generating clashes with the police.  They are now approaching the point of critical mass, where they will either swell into a mass movement that brings about significant change, as did the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s, or simply dissolve and disappear.

Protest movements operate out of their own internal dynamic.  They swell in numbers in response to perceived injustices; they fade away if they cannot retain momentum.  As the great social psychologist Elias Canetti wrote of gatherings of this sort, “[e]verything here depends on movement” (Crowds and Power, 1984, p. 30).  Absent a sense of movement toward a goal, the Occupy Wall Street protest and similar protests in other cities will soon disintegrate.

Having gathered significant numbers in New York and other cities, the protest now finds itself at this critical juncture.  The crowds that have gathered to protest “corporate greed,” as they imagine it, are of necessity moving beyond occupation and toward a more aggressive stage of protest.  The “occupation,” in other words, is no longer an occupation, but instead an assault.

In New York, Boston, and Washington, it is clear that the protests have entered this second stage.  On September 24, Occupy New York began to turn violent as police were forced to control the disorderly crowd, and eighty protesters were arrested.  On October 5, also in New York, hundreds of protesters stormed a police barricade, forcing police to respond with pepper spray and leading to further arrests.  Moving from its sanctioned location in Zuccotti Park, the mob has attempted to shut down traffic and cause disruption in heavily frequented parts of Manhattan, including the entrance to the New York Stock Exchange and the approach to the Brooklyn Bridge.  It has carried its protest to the Upper-East-Side residences of prominent New Yorkers, particularly those associated with conservative politics, such as Rupert Murdoch and David Koch.

It is not just in New York that the protests have turned violent.  On October 11, one hundred protesters were arrested in Boston when they refused to comply with police instructions to leave the Rose Kennedy Greenway.  Similar violence has been reported in Seattle and Washington, where protesters stormed the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum.

Granted, many of these young protesters seem clueless as to what they are about.  Many seem to be protesting for the sake of doing so, as if the protests were a pleasant little summer camp and not a serious political statement.  But there is also the sense of darker forces at work behind the scenes.  The hapless young people who initiated Occupy Wall Street have been joined by hard-line leftists, union thugs, and lawless radicals intent on inciting violence.  As was the case with the Arab Spring, zealous revolutionaries have their eye on what may have begun as an incoherent gathering of disaffected youths.  These more organized elements are determined to move the protests toward a third stage.

What is the third stage?  Lawlessness, violence, and terrorism.

This is not the first time that a peaceful protest movement has turned violent.  In the spring of 1969, at the height of the antiwar protests in the United States, I had occasion to meet Mark Rudd just at the time when Rudd, along with other leaders of Students for a Democratic Society, were organizing the Weathermen, a leftist terror organization.  Of my fleeting encounter with Rudd I remember little, except that he was so completely cocooned within the stilted rhetoric of the left that he seemed more an automaton than a person.

The Weatherman “Declaration of a State of War” against the United States makes for interesting reading.  The Declaration was the ideological basis for a series of bombings of government and corporate buildings, including a bombing of the Pentagon on May 19, 1972.  It was originally proclaimed by Bernardine Dohrn, wife of Bill Ayers and confidante of our current president.

In this declaration of struggle against “Amerikan imperialism,” the Weathermen called for nothing less than “destruction of the [American] empire.”  The key passage in the Declaration is the statement that “[t]ens of thousands have learned that protests and marches don’t do it. Revolutionary violence is the only way.”  The Declaration emphasizes that at the critical point in its development, the protest movement must turn to violence in order to sustain itself.  It must move “underground,” where it will become a terror organization.  It revels in the possibility of tens of thousands of alienated “kids” — “making love, smoking dope and loading guns.”

As this passage makes clear, SDS had reached the point where it decided, quite consciously, to embrace violence.  This was the third phase of the antiwar movement, and it was inevitable, given the waning interest in the movement following the 1960s.  Most young people had better things to do than to “blame the system,” and as they turned their backs on the left, the SDS responded by intensifying its efforts.  Thus, the Weatherman Underground was born.

Occupy Wall Street has not yet reached this point of development, and hopefully it will disperse before doing so.  But, clearly, it is evolving beyond a small ground sleeping out in the park and making its points with signs, speeches, and internet posts.  It is now moving toward the second stage, where larger numbers or dramatic acts of protest are necessary to sustain momentum.

What happens next bears watching closely, as does the response of the president, ex-Speaker Pelosi, and others on the left.  Encouraged by leftists in the Democratic Party and funded by left-leaning nonprofit organizations and celebrity contributors, Occupy Wall Street may in time morph into something resembling the radical factions of the late 1960s and 1970s.

If they do so, those who have aided and encouraged them should be held accountable.  Then it will not be just Ayers and Dohrn with blood on their hands.  It will be their young protégé in the White House as well.

Arrogant White Liberal Tells Herman Cain How to Be Black

By Lloyd Marcus

American Thinker

This article is for my black brother, a community leader and little-league football coach who gets his news solely from the liberal mainstream media.  Hopefully it will help him to understand why I, his big brother, am working with those white Tea Party people against his beloved black president.

This article is also for my black relatives who gave me a chilly reception at my grandmother’s 100th birthday party.  I learned through the family grapevine they resent my involvement in the Tea Party and consider me an embarrassment to the family.

Well, I say to my embarrassed relatives, blame my instincts on the mentoring and leadership of my dad.  My dad has been a Christian man of character and honor all of my life.  So when I see a characterless liberal political hack occupying my beloved country’s Oval Office, I refuse to join the flock of black sheep worshiping him because we share the same skin color.

To my relatives who have thrown their Christian values, principles, and brains out the window to give their black idol a pass, you guys are the ones who should be ashamed of yourselves.  Marcus family tradition has drilled into us that it means something to be a Marcus: an adherence to a higher standard.  Your selling out to skin color embarrasses me!  If you detect a bit of anger, you are correct.

Watching white MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell chastising black presidential candidate Herman Cain for not participating in the 1960s civil rights movement infuriated me.  O’Donnell accused Cain of sitting on the sidelines like a coward while blacks and whites marched and protested for black civil rights.  How dare this white guy who does not have a clue what it was like to be black in America in the 1960s attack a black person for not responding to racism the way he thinks he should have responded?

In the ’60s, most blacks did not march or protest in the streets, but they fought for freedom in their own private ways; entrepreneurship, prayer, striving for excellence, etc.  A black buddy of mine who went from being incarcerated as a teenager to becoming an art director in a prominent advertising agency attributes his success to a black high school art teacher, Lindy Jordan.  Mr. Jordan mentored so many black youths that a scholarship was founded in his honor.  Mr. Jordan was never seen in the streets protesting for civil rights.  I submit that Mr. Jordan fought for black liberation and equality in the best way he knew how: by mentoring black youths.

But leave it to the probably former-hippie, spoiled-brat O’Donnell to think that all blacks who did not march in the streets must have been Uncle Toms.  O’Donnell’s liberal arrogance is off the chain.  In my opinion, Lawrence O’Donnell owes Mr. Jordan and other black American civil rights pioneers an apology.

O’Donnell is yet another white racist arrogant liberal attempting to dictate what is and is not acceptable black behavior.  White liberal actress Janeane Garofalo displayed the same racist arrogance when she proclaimed black Republicans Michael Steele and Herman Cain to be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

Listen up, O’Donnell, Garofalo, and all you other pompous liberal plantation slave massas.  By the Grace of God, we black Americans are free — free to be successful entrepreneurs such as Herman Cain and countless other blacks rather than government-dependent welfare recipients.

We blacks are free to live outside your liberal stereotypical dictates.  I prefer sushi over fried chicken.  Does that make me “less” black?  Probably, in the minds of arrogant liberal racists.

O’Donnell followed up his program in which he spanked Cain for not being black enough with analysis from liberal plantation black overseer Rev. Al Sharpton.  As expected, Sharpton further trashed Cain.

Based on Sharpton’s betrayal of black America and his racially divisive and evil Tawana Brawley scandal, Al Sharpton is not worthy even to shine Herman Cain’s shoes.  And yet, this is the guy the left has appointed “spokesperson” for black America, again confirming their arrogance.  Herman Cain’s story is one of inspiration, courage, and honor, which epitomizes the American Dream.

If these paragons of tolerance and compassion on the left such as O’Donnell and Sharpton truly cared about black America, they would herald Herman Cain as a hero.  They would celebrate Cain as a shining example for black youths, illustrating the limitless success which can be achieved via education, hard work, and character.

Sadly, inspiring black youths to pursue their dreams is not the intention of O’Donnell, Sharpton, and the left.  Their intention is to create another generation of Americans dependent on big government for survival.  With Obama leading the campaign, they seek to create dumbed-down Democrat voters who view themselves as victims and hate everything which has made America great, including capitalism and individual freedom.

O’Donnell’s question to Cain about his lack of involvement is the 1960s civil rights movement was meant to portray Cain as an Uncle Tom.  It was despicable.  So every time I hear these creeps on the left pontificate about their compassion for blacks, it turns my stomach.

The left views and values blacks only as pawns in a quest to portray America as the greatest source of evil in the world.  The left deems happy, America-loving blacks who have achieved success via traditional routes such as education and hard work “paradigm breakers” who must be destroyed.

So please forgive my lack of respect for my white liberal would-be slave massas and their traitorous black overseers.  These people are evil and must be defeated.

Sher Zieve column
Will the Obama syndicate ever be held responsible for its crimes?

Sher Zieve
Sher Zieve
October 13, 2011
With the exception of Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), no one from the GOP side of the aisle seems to really care about the crimes that have been and continue to be committed by Obama and his syndicate. Instead, Congress — itself — has established its own unconstitutional “Super Congress” of twelve which essentially does away with representation of WE-the-People. Does anyone still remember “taxation without representation” that sparked the first “Tea Party?” In this way, Congress is either joining the Obama dictatorship or has formed its own totalitarian
challenge to it. Either way, both Obama and the US Congress have now established their own versions of anti-Republic government. Like all petulant and/or undisciplined children, they will continue unless we — the adults — stop them. The Obama syndicate crimes, however, are escalating at a frightening pace.
The Most Criminal Regime in US HistoryThe Obama-led administration (aka the Obama syndicate) appears to be — by far — the most rogue and lawless (by design and original intent of the perpetrators) ever attributed to “leaders” of the United States Government. This regime refuses to follow — let alone uphold — any US law (including Constitutional law) that it doesn’t like; specifically those that would stop its purpose of completely overthrowing and destroying the US Republic. Note: It is being affected — with vigor by our oppressors — as I write this. Two huge scandals with likely provable criminal intent and application by Obama and his syndicate have been exposed. Bear in mind there are dozens of others, which I have covered in previous columns. Most recently, however, Holder and Obama were caught with their proverbial pants down regarding the Obama-ordered “Operation Gunwalker: Fast and Furious” program. The program was set up and implemented with the sole intention of blaming US citizens for gun traffic to the Mexican drug cartels and, then, placing restrictions of the US Constitution’s Second Amendment. An unarmed population is a submissive population. In reality and fact, however, the Obama government actually forced US gun shops to sell weapons to drug cartel members and this same ObamaGov actually and clandestinely partnered with the Sinaloa drug cartel! In an 8 October article, Los Angeles Times reporter Richard A. Serrano wrote: “These Fast and Furious guns were going to Sinaloans, and they are killing everyone down there,” said one knowledgeable U.S. government source, who asked for anonymity because of the ongoing investigations. “But that’s only how many we know came through Texas. Hundreds more had to get through.”"Torres Marrufo, also known as “the Jaguar,” has been identified by U.S. authorities as the enforcer for Sinaloa cartel chieftain Joaquin “Chapo” Guzman. The Fast and Furious weapons were found at one of Torres Marrufo’s homes April 30 when Mexican police inspected the property. It was unoccupied but “showed signs of recent activity,” they said.”

Question: Were there also kickbacks to Obama & Co by the drug cartels? Considering what has occurred, the question is a highly legitimate one and should be asked by members of the “mainstream” media.

One of the central problems with Fast and Furious is that it was established by Obama in 2009 and the media refused to report on that fact then — and still refuses to do so now. For months, I have been reporting on a 24 March 2009 C-SPAN 2 video made of Deputy Attorney General David Ogden, in which he identifies Obama and Holder as the driving forces behind the “Gunwalker” (then called “gunrunner”) program and calls it “a new and aggressive plan.” The video, until recently when it was finally mentioned on another conservative site, was ignored and still appears to be ignored by most of the US Congress. This Obama-Holder program caused the death of, most notably, USBP Agent Brian Terry and countless Mexican citizens. Recently subpoenas were prepared to be sent to US Attorney General Eric Holder for him to again testify before the House Judiciary Committee. However, in a move that sounds suspiciously like the movie “Wag the Dog,” Holder chose Tuesday 11 October to announce the thwarting of an Iranian plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian Ambassador (arrests were made in September) within the confines of the USA. An attempt to divert or at least cool down the negative attention surrounding Holder’s patently criminal activities? You decide.

Then, of course, there are the money laundering and “redistribution-of-stolen-taxpayer-money-to-the-Marxist-Democrats-and-their-friends”
slush fund ventures. Note: Recently, even Rush Limbaugh noted this money laundering. The way you ask? Why…Green Energy projects! Bogus “environmentalism” and “green projects” are merely Marxist inventions (environmentalism is mentioned as a conquest-of-the-people tool in both the Communist Manifesto and Communist Goals [for America] 1963) to steal from the middle and lower classes and “redistribute” to the ruling classes. And, Obama is doing it. Solyndra is a prime example of this and there are more of these fake companies on the way as Obama continues to ignore his uncovered crimes and to fund (with taxpayer money) even more ludicrous “green energy” shell companies in
order to fatten his and his friends wallets and purses. Suffice it to say, ALL of the Solyndra executives have claimed the Fifth Amendment and refuse to testify (or at least answer any posed questions) before Congress. The company received over half a billion dollars in ObamaGov loans and — guess what — the California Democrat Party is listed as one of its creditors (not the US taxpayer from which the money was appropriated) and will be paid if there is any money to be found! Note: I suspect it has been well-hidden. Obama’s hands are all over this one, too.

To say that the Obama syndicate is the most corrupt and criminal in US history is to minimize what it is actually doing. Obama and his band of Marxist-Leninist marauders are doing no less than overthrowing the country — and they have been affecting it since they usurped power. As I have been writing for years now, the Obama regime is completely lawless. Yet, Congress has done little to nothing to stop him. Instead, its members strongly seem to have joined him in his efforts. Unless we rid ourselves of all of the traitors — on both sides of the aisle — and place strict Constitutionalists in office the USA will not be revived. And until we remember and again openly recognize who placed us here, We-the-People will continue to be even more forcibly enslaved. It is what it is.

Isaiah 3:5 “And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.”

Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Malkin: Obama’s Teachable Truthiness Moment

By Michelle Malkin October 12, 2011 6:23 am
President Obama blames Republicans for the collapse of his latest government jobs bill. But in the end, he has only his tall tale-telling tongue to blame. After hyping the TARP, Obamacare, Stimulus I and EduJobs spending behemoths as economic saviors, Obama just couldn’t help overselling his half-trillion-dollar American Jobs Act. The teachable moment of “truthiness” for this taxpayer-subsidized scam came last week when Obama made an unwitting Boston teacher the botched poster child for his campaign.
“Hundreds of thousands of teachers and firefighters and police officers have been laid off because of state budget cuts. This jobs bill has funding to put a lot of those men and women back to work. It has funding to prevent a lot more from losing their job,” the Pinocchio of Pennsylvania Avenue told reporters during his East Room press conference in Washington, D.C., last Thursday. For example, Obama spelled out: “I had a chance to meet a young man named Robert Baroz. He’s got two decades of teaching experience.
He’s got a master’s degree. He’s got an outstanding track record of helping his students make huge gains in reading and writing. In the last few years, he’s received three pink slips because of budget cuts.” Going in for the heartstring-tugging kill, Obama lamented: “Why wouldn’t we want to pass a bill that puts somebody like Robert back in the classroom teaching our kids?” Well, for one thing, Obama never “met” Baroz. They were in the same place at one point for a jobs bill rally at the Rose Garden in September. But the two never shook hands, never took photos, never spoke and never communicated with each other in any way that might be even remotely construed as “meeting.” Which would help explain why Obama got the most basic fact about his sob story wrong: Baroz doesn’t need Obama’s jobs bill to “put him back in the classroom teaching our kids” — because he already has a job.
As the Boston Herald reported, Baroz “works as a literacy and data coach at the Curley K-8 School in Jamaica Plain, analyzing MCAS data and applying it to teachers’ everyday lessons.” Let me spell that out again for the reading comprehension-challenged: Baroz doesn’t need Obama to redistribute other people’s money to get him a job. He already has one. White House press secretary and former Time magazine journalist Jay Carney attempted to gloss over Obama’s crystal-clear whopper about having met Baroz and his transparent insinuation that the teacher would benefit from passage of the bill: “The president — as you know, he was in a group of people that were — I think he was this close to the president as you are to me. And the president knows his story. … I mean, it’s just indisputable — as we found out again this morning — that all around the country, teachers are being laid off. The president has a plan to solve, OK, or to address that problem. … So I think the principle is just indisputable, as Mr. Baroz himself makes clear.”
How would Carney have reported on such narrative-stretching spin when he was covering the Bush administration for Time magazine? Obama’s tall teacher tale is of a piece with the rest of his economic stimulus fables — from the Ohio bridge he stood in front of that wouldn’t see any jobs act money until 2015, if ever, to the thousands of promised construction jobs that would only go to a sliver of union-exclusive projects, to the pie-in-the-sky green jobs funding for weatherization projects that have mostly benefited Obama cronies. All the little lies serve the larger Obama fraud of endless Keynesian intervention as a “cure.” It’s a deception even Senate Democrats refused to whitewash: “If spending money would solve our problems and crisis in America, we wouldn’t have a problem right now because we sure did our share of spending money in the last few years,” West Virginia Senate Democrat Joe Manchin said last month in casting doubt on the doomed Obama jobs bill. “It’s just common sense to me. If some of the recommendations that are out there hadn’t worked in the past, why would we do them over again?” For his part, as an Obama true believer, the teacher Robert Baroz is excusing his hero’s fabrications because they serve a supposedly higher truth: “To me, the question he posed to the people was a rhetorical question. The emphasis was on ‘like Robert.’ It’s people who are like me, highly qualified, and are not working. That’s the spirit of it.” Egad. If Baroz uses the same logic in his “literacy and data” coaching methods in the Boston schools, perhaps students would be better off without him.

Kincaid: ‘Occupy Wall Street’ to Push for Global Tax

By Cliff Kincaid October 12, 2011 6:30 am

Jumping on the anti-Wall Street media bandwagon, Josh Boak of Politico says Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio’s measure to tax Wall Street has “newfound momentum.” The Soros-funded Think Progress blog quickly jumped on the report, saying the plan is being seriously considered on the Hill. There is only one problem: DeFazio hasn’t introduced any such bill in the current Congress.

Despite the hype from Politico, the issue is a real one. And the threat is not only a “Wall Street financial transactions tax” that could affect ordinary investors but a global tax to finance various international agencies and causes.

It’s just a “tiny tax,” say proponents, that has the support of billionaire Bill Gates and can generate $100 billion a year. A global tax on financial transactions could generate at least $700 billion a year from the U.S. and other “rich” countries.

One of the groups pushing the tax is National Nurses United, whose Massachusetts affiliate is already putting its political muscle behind radical Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren. Her speech to the Massachusetts Nurses Association convention was given in front of posters saying, “RNs say Heal America. Tax Wall Street.”

Warren just made big news by raising more money than some presidential candidates did in the last quarter.

Taking Obama’s class warfare rhetoric to a new level, Warren recently said, “There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody! You built a factory out there? Good for you! But I want to be clear: You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You, uh, were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory and hire someone to protect against this because of the work the rest of us did.”

At this point, the Capitol Hill “Tax Wall Street” measure has yet to be introduced. Backers are apparently waiting for the “Occupy Wall Street” protests to build, with further help from the media.

“The Oregon Democrat has teamed up with Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) to introduce the measure—a sequel to their 2009 bill—before the November G-20 meeting in Cannes, France,” says Boak.

Boak says the DeFazio-Harkin proposal “fizzled two years ago” in the last Congress. The term “fizzled” is an understatement. The House version, H.R. 4191, only had 25 co-sponsors. The DeFazio bill was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, the Committees on Rules, and the Budget Committee. But no action was taken on it.

Harkin’s Senate version, S. 2927, fared even worse. He had only three co-sponsors: Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Bernard Sanders (I-VT), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI). It was referred to the Committee on Finance, which took no action.

A photo caption for the Politico story refers to Harkin being a sponsor of the bill which “probably” will be offered before the G-20 meeting in November.

So a bill that already had “momentum” may or not be introduced soon. What is going on here?

The Boak story has all the earmarks of a plant by the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), a Marxist group pushing the tax. IPS held a seminar on the topic at the recent Take Back the American Dream conference in Washington, D.C. It was announced there that a nurses union would be staging a “D.C. action” on November 3 during the G-20 summit being held in France.

Indeed, this is the next phase of “Occupy Wall Street”—a carefully orchestrated attempt to make it seem like people all around the world are clamoring for a tax on Wall Street. Here, National Nurses United (NNU) is leading the charge and will hold its “major action” in front of the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. on November 3.

The nurses will wear their nurses’ garb and hold signs proclaiming, “Heal America. Tax Wall Street.” NNU has created a “Protest in the USA” website to help organize the demonstrations.

The “momentum” for the not-yet-introduced proposal is the result of a far-left network that wants to use the current “Occupy Wall Street” protests to push and pass the tax, which could go global.

The effort cannot be dismissed. On the international level, a group called “Make Finance Work for the People and the Planet” boasts 1,000 signatures of economists on a petition for the “Robin Hood tax.”

The IPS released a report last year promoting the tax, noting how it could help pay for U.S. “global commitments around poverty, health and climate.” The report states, “If the U.S. is going to fulfill its commitments to the world’s poorest, it needs to contribute an additional $80 billion in revenues per year.”

Internationally, the campaign is being organized by Public Services International (PSI), with affiliates in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and Arab countries.

U.S. affiliates of PSI, in addition to National Nurses United, are the American Federation of Government Employees, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), American Federation of Teachers, International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE), and the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA).

A “global day of action” for the tax was already held on June 22 but received little attention here. Sympathetic media coverage of the “Occupy Wall Street” protests is sure to generate significant press attention for the November 3 protests.

The media are determined to create a “progressive” version of the Tea Party, even if the bill to tax Wall Street hasn’t been introduced yet. The actual introduction of the measure will be big news on the evening news programs.

After this is accomplished, critics of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement will no longer be able to say that the protesters have no concrete demands. Obama, at the G-20 event, will undoubtedly then “consider” the proposal, even perhaps say some more kind words about the protesters.

We saw this before. In my December 14, 2009, column, “The Secret Plan to Pass a Global Tax,” I noted that there was a push for the DeFazio-Harkin plan at that time.

The difference now is that the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters, assisted by Van Jones, Soros-funded progressives and labor unions, are mounting a major effort to get the measure passed and they have the support of the major media.

Even if they lose the battle in Congress, Obama will have revitalized his base.

Students at Orphanage in India Forced to Pay Idol Worship Fee

Hindu extremists force closure, then limited re-opening of Christian social programs.

NEW DELHI – Hindu extremists in West Bengal, India who earlier this year refused to admit Christian orphans to a high school have forced them to contribute funds for idol worship in order to gain admission, sources said.

The conflict in Kharagpur, Paschim Medinipur, last month led the hard-line Hindus to throw stones at a Christian orphanage, shut it and other social programs down and threaten to arrest the head of the organization that operates them. The Rev. Dr. Subimal Dutta, director general of Ambassadors Service Society, which operates the Gilgal Children’s Home, told Compass he faced the threats and program shut-down after opposing the collection of money for idol worship at government schools or government-aided schools.

Dutta said that since 2007 he has tried to stop school officials from collecting money from the Gilgal Children’s Home and from non-Hindu students at public schools for the “Puja subscription,” or idol worship fee.

Hindu extremists led by Achinty Hatui, headmaster of the Dudhebudhe Gram Sava Tribal Institute, forced the Christian students to pay the fee for idols and warned him that they would ransack the properties of the Society, which also runs child development, children and mother survival, pregnant women and infant care, health care and primary school programs.

“I went to various administrative officials to stop this unfair practice, but I got no positive responses,” Dutta said, adding that when he reported the matter to area Additional District Inspector Jasodananda Misra, he refused to take action.

No area schools would admit the five orphans from the Gilgal Children’s Home, so they attended Dudhebudhe Gram Sava Tribal Institute, a high school that is a three-minute walk from their home, hoping that they would eventually be granted admission. After attending classes for 21 days, however, Hatui expelled them on March 25 in a fit of coarse language and insults, said Chetan Larence Orasad, manager of Ambassadors Service Society.

“Achinty Hatui and his team have been collecting money for idol worship through unfair means and pressured orphans from the Gilgal Home to submit the money or they would be expelled,” Orasad told Compass.

The orphans also faced discrimination and harassment from the headmaster and staff for not contributing to the idol fund, he said. The orphans filed a police complaint against Hatui, which the local police initially refused to register.

Dutta said he pressured the additional district inspector, Misra, to take action, and he arranged a meeting for him with Hatui and his team on April 19, which was fruitless.

“In response to the public litigation case I submitted in Kolkata High Court at the beginning of the year, the honorable court on April 8 issued an order to Dudhebudhe Gram Sava Tribal Institute and other government-aided schools in the area to give admission to the children from Gilgal Children’s Home,” Dutta told Compass.

Even after the court order, however, Hatui initially refused to admit the students in his school, Dutta said.

“The orphans were given admission only after I went to the police station and reported the matter,” he said.

But the orphans faced constant discrimination and harassment from Hatui and his staff, and they continued to pressure them to submit the money for idol worship, he said.

After receiving a letter from the West Bengal Minorities Commission to appear on Sept. 7 for a hearing following a complaint filed by Dutta, Hatui and his staff tried to force the orphans to sign an agreement stating that the orphans had willingly paid the idol worship fee. The orphans refused to sign, and they have stopped going to the school because of the constant harassment they faced from the faculty, he said.

Hatui and his staff also insisted that the orphans change their legal guardian from Dutta to relatives in order to attain status as regular students, he said.

On Sept. 7, Hindu extremists led by Hatui gathered at the Society compound, stoned Gilgal Children’s Home, blocked the road and demanded that all Christian activities stop. As a result, Dutta was unable to appear at a hearing of the West Bengal Minorities Commission.

“A big mob of Hindu extremists blocked the passage and the compound of the mission, and the police also asked me not to venture out from my home as it could be harmful for my life,” he said. “I sent my representative along with my letter to the chairman of the commission stating the reason for my absence.”

Later that day, police summoned Dutta, Hatui and his secretary for talks, but Hatui insisted that they meet at his high school compound, where Hindu extremist groups could gather. Dutta declined to meet at Hatui’s school that day.

On Sept. 8, Hatui and other Hindu extremists forced their way into the Gilgal Children’s Home and demanded the arrest of Dutta within 24 hours – on charges of forcibly converting orphans and trying to bring Christianity to the area – or else they would demolish the orphanage.

“I have also come to know through well-wishers that Hatui bribed some people to attack us,” Dutta reported.

On Sept. 9, the extremists again stormed into the Society compound and warned Dutta to stop all Christian activities within seven days or that they would forcibly shut down the mission. They also sternly warned Dutta that his life would be in danger if he involved police or any administrative officials.

“We dare not bring forward the matter to the police or to any officials for fear of the extremists, and we have closed down all our activities since Sept. 9,” he said.

At a meeting with the village head, the local political party and the Ambassadors Service Society on Sept. 23, an agreement was reached for re-opening the Society, but it required all students at the government high school to pay the idol worship fee without complaint. As a result, the five students from the orphanage have paid the fee but have not attended due to harassment from Hatui and his staff, sources said.

The agreement allows the Society to resume limited Christian social programs and also calls for teaching about Christ to be restricted to the Society compound. In addition, the Society must provide jobs to six local Hindus, and committee members of the Society’s primary school must be nominated by the local political party. Because the Society primary school has more students than the public school, it can operate only when the government school is not in session, according to the agreement. The Society’s primary school has some 300 students, including Muslim and Christians.

Dutta said he felt he had to consent to these demands in order to continue providing shelter to 72 orphans.

“The extremists will go to any extent to close down the orphanage and all the other mission works of Ambassadors Service Society,” he said.
